Legends Golf & Country Club

Course was in good shape for time of year. Greens were fast but rolled well. Lots of sand in fairways and around greens but bunkers were in good condition with rakes available. Fairways were tight but normal for the time of year. Most disappointing was the pace of play, particularly from 5 on with 3 or 4 groups were together of older ladies and gents. We teed off at 2:10 and didn't get in the last 3 holes. Did get a refund of half the cost because we couldn't finish. We would play it again.

We wanted to love this course. Many things to like. Nice layout, very friendly staff, good conditions.

But we waited on every shot, at one point there were 4 groups on a par 3 and this happened more than twice.

It ruins the game when the pace of play is that bad.

The pace of play was slow this day, but the weather was excellent, this track is a fair deal for this time of year I guess, I wish they would give Canadians a break, because when we get our credit card statement of $79.00 US it will be $110.00 Canadian. Courses in the Orlando area have gone crazy this year, and the other two tracks I played were not even worth $50.00, and they were around the same price as this. I'll wait till Apr/May to play in the Orlando area again maybe the prices might come down.

I had played Legends prior to it closing a few years back. This was my first chance to play it since it reopened 1.5 years ago. The greens and fairways are in good condition although the rough is a bit sparse. The bunkers are among the best I played on a public course. But what really is a treat is the layout given the changes in elevation, unusual for Central Florida.

This is a big course, with big bunkers, big waste areas, big greens and big views. Pick your tees wisely, or plan for a big score!

Front 9 played in good time. Flow was good. Arrived on 10 and we were the fourth group waiting. Where did everybody suddenly come from? My guess is that the pro shop put a couple of extra groups out on the back. Took 3 hours 10 minutes. My last time playing the course.

The greens and fairways are in great condition. The course is designed very well using the elevations to make it a really challenging course. The pace of play is very slow as we had our first 5 plus hour round this season. Also the bathrooms on the course are closed but no one tells you.

Wide driving areas. Not impossible but very difficult to judge distances without a GPS.
