Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - South Course

love to play the south course for the layout. the day we did play was light rain and was steady all day and heavier by the time we finished. the greens were as usual-excellent. the fairways are very tight as grass is yet dormant in this area, this will change soon carts do have covers over the clubs which really helped. pace was very good which also got us done in 3.5 hours

Greens were in excellent shape. Fairways are brown but still soft enough to make a good divot. Pace was extremely slow and we were late starting as they did not have carts available. We were told AFTER the round that they had a large tournament that day and most of the rounds were taking 5-6 hours. We finished almost in darkness even though we had a 1.36 tee off. Considering the amount paid we were not happy.

This was a fantastic course! Everything was great! Will play again!

Haven't played either north or south in over a year, but so glad I came back. South course has many holes that are visually stunning with mix of water, elevation changes and nasty fairway bunkers. I will return

North Course superior to South although both are very nice. North condition was in superior condition.

Overseading hadn't come in and fairways were like hitting off bare ground.

Would return once overseeing comes in.

One of the best courses in the area. Always well maintained and a great experience. Will certainly return

Matched up with 2 very nice guys, we had a great day on this manicured course Greens were perfect, layout was fun and pace of play was fine until the 2 groups ahead of us joined up to make a 7some for the last 2-3 holes.

I've played this course many times and the conditioning wasn't up to par. Greens were spectacular but fairways were kind of sparse and many tee boxes overgrown. Still, its always the us open qualifying course it always was.

Course is still a good value although the general conditions seem to be slipping some over the years.

We travelled 40 miles to play this course even though we were told that it would be slow, that was an understatement! 3hours 40 mins to play 13 holes and we gave up. For the first 6 holes there was no one behind us but we were always on the tee at the same time as the group in front. From then on there were three groups on each tee waiting. From what I could see there were people on the course that couldn't hit the ball more than 80 yards and only in Army style. It's a real pity but we won't be going back.

The course was in nice shape as expected. Greens were quick but true. Biggest difficulty is remembering where to leave your tee shot. Once out of position or in the rough, its basically a one shot penalty.

The course is presteen beautiful fare ways greens are smooth as ice when you get the feel birdies are douable.

I have played here before and never had complaints. However last Saturday was different. We were the first one the play and they didn't let us go even 5 minutes ahead of the time (I got it). This was Starters attitude when asked him question (Didn't you hear me what just I said?). He paired us with a twosome who were late for their round on North course and won't let them play on north. Then the member stuff, OMG. we were 4 and they were 3, not even on a single hole they catch with us they called for ranger because they had to wait few minutes. Not only that, couple of time the almost hit us and didn't wait for us to finish. After 9 holes we let them go (waited 10 minutes so they can finish) and only then we found out they called ranger. I am not playing there again. I drove 50 minutes in the morning to have good time on a nice course. its not worth with this attitude for me.
