Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - South Course

I've played this course many times and the conditioning wasn't up to par. Greens were spectacular but fairways were kind of sparse and many tee boxes overgrown. Still, its always the us open qualifying course it always was.

Course is still a good value although the general conditions seem to be slipping some over the years.

Great course, great staff. Perfect greens. I will be playing again.

We travelled 40 miles to play this course even though we were told that it would be slow, that was an understatement! 3hours 40 mins to play 13 holes and we gave up. For the first 6 holes there was no one behind us but we were always on the tee at the same time as the group in front. From then on there were three groups on each tee waiting. From what I could see there were people on the course that couldn't hit the ball more than 80 yards and only in Army style. It's a real pity but we won't be going back.

The course was in nice shape as expected. Greens were quick but true. Biggest difficulty is remembering where to leave your tee shot. Once out of position or in the rough, its basically a one shot penalty.

The course is presteen beautiful fare ways greens are smooth as ice when you get the feel birdies are douable.

I have played here before and never had complaints. However last Saturday was different. We were the first one the play and they didn't let us go even 5 minutes ahead of the time (I got it). This was Starters attitude when asked him question (Didn't you hear me what just I said?). He paired us with a twosome who were late for their round on North course and won't let them play on north. Then the member stuff, OMG. we were 4 and they were 3, not even on a single hole they catch with us they called for ranger because they had to wait few minutes. Not only that, couple of time the almost hit us and didn't wait for us to finish. After 9 holes we let them go (waited 10 minutes so they can finish) and only then we found out they called ranger. I am not playing there again. I drove 50 minutes in the morning to have good time on a nice course. its not worth with this attitude for me.

Course was in great shap, price was right, very challenging greens.

First time on the course, WOW! The Pro Shop Staff and the Starter (Larry) were extremely friendly! The young lady running the drink cart seemed to know when we needed resupplied. They made us feel like regulars. The course was in great shape. Greens were firm and rolling; fairways were green and the conditions were just spot on. It was wonderful to play a course with some elevation and contours in it. We are looking forward to our next round at LJ. Thanks.

Course is great as usual but fairways have more than usual bare spots. Probably due to lack of rain.

Beautiful course! Need a ranger to keep things moving. 5 hour round.

When I arrived at the course, they did NOT have my tee time on their schedule. Some failure to communicate between Golf Now and the course. I showed them your confirmation "E" mail and they were very accommodating to fit us in.

The course was pretty firm in spite of some recent rains. The gusty wind made the course more challenging. The greens are rolling well. They're not as fast as they once were, but greens that are rolling close to 12 definitely slow down the pace of play. The pace of play was good.

Course is in very good condition from tee to green given the recent dry weather. Layout is challenging with many elevation changes. Only downside was snack bar was closed at noon due to rain in the morning which led to no one on the course in the afternoon.

Elevation changes like I've never seen in Florida. Above average size greens that are medium speed, roll true and break like they read. 6 sets of tees for every level. I would using the handicap suggestion for tees. Great value. Won't find a better course for the money in central Florida. Also, make sure your bunker play is up to par before playing here as there are lots of them in play.

Course was awesome! Got a hot deal on golf now, $35 greens fee with cart. Course in immaculate condition & would highly recommend! Saw the beverage cart very often! Only complaint..could use more restrooms but I think same could be said of all courses!! I judge a place by wanting to go back, & I definitely would play another round there!!

The round of golf and staff at this semi private club was very enjoyable. The South coarse is much more visually predictable than the North when playing either of these coarses for the first time. Entire facility in beautiful condition!
