St. Johns Golf & Country Club

Staff was friendly course looked good but first Florida course that I’ve seen cart path only and it was not wet except two holes. The greens had been punched last week and not enough sand used. Don’t think it would have mattered as there are numerous patches of common Bermuda all over every green. It was like putting on a pinball table. Would not have booked had we known the greens were so bad.

Awesome layout and beautiful course. Only con was punched and sanded greens but was notified prior to reservation which is no big deal.. awesome staff and experience will def be playing regularly!! PS cart girl makes a nice transfusion

We’re unaware that the greens had recently been plugged and sanded. Several greens had a bad weed problem. If I had known about the plugged and sanded greens, I would not have booked tee time. This kind of info should be announced during the reservation process.

Was told by the starter that we would be playing the back 9 twice as the front was under maintenance. No issue to me. However, there was no warning of how the greens were punched and sanded that same day and we’re unplayable. Full price paid as well. Beautiful back 9 course otherwise!

I took my wife for a round for her birthday (her wish), and we were extremely surprised and happy about how beautiful this course was! The employees were super friendly, the amenities top notch, and the clubhouse very modern and clean! Would definitely recommend! Only complaint would be the lack of ball washer stations at the tee boxes? Enjoy

It was blazing hot, but the course was in great condition. I would definitely play there again.

Course looked good! Greens had fungus/ weeds in some of them but otherwise it a good time.

Great course, and conditions were perfect! I would recommend making your own “Blend” on holes to keep it a bit more changing instead of the whites only. Free range balls if you download the app, so saved a couple bucks there. Employees all over the place, which was a huge help saving time if you are new to the place. Cart attendants on both sides to keep you refreshed. Stop and play, you won’t be disappointed!!

Challenging but fair. Some holes you play conservatively to avoid a big number. Take advantage of scoring holes - primarily on the front nine. Greens were aerated a few weeks ago - not fully recovered yet.

Enjoyed this course thoroughly, especially after the lousy 4some ahead that refused to allow us through left. The greens have been recently aerated, within a couple weeks, and are still very sandy and fast. Very fair layout, nothing over-the-top challenging. Would like to play here again when it is in top shape; clubhouse staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. A on-course marshal would be nice.

Fairways in good condition. Greens show work was done but still very fast.

My 2 adult sons and I had a wonderful afternoon at a Great Facility! Would recommend to all!

I used to live in the area and played this course all the time. Flew in for a few days to play and decided to play at St. John’s. Greens had been recently aerated and were not in great shape. The course did not have an aerification alert when I booked or I would’ve gone somewhere else this trip. Love the layout, clubhouse, and that range balls are now at the range! Once the greens are healed it’ll be back to pristine conditions once again. Just wish I was warned about the greens before I played.
