St. Johns Golf & Country Club
About
Carved from a forest of pines and winding through wetlands and lagoons, St. Johns Golf & Country Club offers a scenic 18-hole round located between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The course features tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens. There is also the occasional two-tiered green to look out for. Water hazards come into play throughout and there are several well-placed bunkers. Depending on how the wind is blowing, the course can range from being gentle to very demanding. Six sets of tees make the course accessible to players of all skill levels. In addition to the course, St. Johns Golf & Country Club also offers extensive practice facilities including a 10,000 sq. foot putting green, chipping green, and a double-sided driving range.

Highly recommend!
Great course, and conditions were perfect! I would recommend making your own “Blend” on holes to keep it a bit more changing instead of the whites only. Free range balls if you download the app, so saved a couple bucks there. Employees all over the place, which was a huge help saving time if you are new to the place. Cart attendants on both sides to keep you refreshed. Stop and play, you won’t be disappointed!!
Nice Layout
Challenging but fair. Some holes you play conservatively to avoid a big number. Take advantage of scoring holes - primarily on the front nine. Greens were aerated a few weeks ago - not fully recovered yet.
Good course, recently aerated greens
Enjoyed this course thoroughly, especially after the lousy 4some ahead that refused to allow us through left. The greens have been recently aerated, within a couple weeks, and are still very sandy and fast. Very fair layout, nothing over-the-top challenging. Would like to play here again when it is in top shape; clubhouse staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. A on-course marshal would be nice.
Great Afternoon
My 2 adult sons and I had a wonderful afternoon at a Great Facility! Would recommend to all!
Greens Still Recovering
I used to live in the area and played this course all the time. Flew in for a few days to play and decided to play at St. John’s. Greens had been recently aerated and were not in great shape. The course did not have an aerification alert when I booked or I would’ve gone somewhere else this trip. Love the layout, clubhouse, and that range balls are now at the range! Once the greens are healed it’ll be back to pristine conditions once again. Just wish I was warned about the greens before I played.
A legit course
Course is in great shape. Tough course, but fair. Greens are fast and true.
Brilliant - Must play if you are in JAX or St. Aug
Easily the best course that one can access for normal golfers in the south Jacksonville / St. Augustine area. Course is pristine and very picturesque. Play the right tees though as this course can be really long based on wind conditions. VERY highly recommended!
Always a great course
Staff is great. Course is challenging but doable for weekend golfer.
Only two constructive criticisms is to work on greens a little (patchy on more than a few) and have ranger out keeping track of pace (we ended about 26 minutes behind pace due to a few groups in front of us holding most up)
Overall, would (and will) still play here again. Great course tucked off 210 with good pro shop and restaurant.
Great course
Did not use off course amenities. I enjoyed playing the course
Very good condition
Especially for a Florida course, considering the dry conditions!
