About
Carved from a forest of pines and winding through wetlands and lagoons, St. Johns Golf & Country Club offers a scenic 18-hole round located between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The course features tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens. There is also the occasional two-tiered green to look out for. Water hazards come into play throughout and there are several well-placed bunkers. Depending on how the wind is blowing, the course can range from being gentle to very demanding. Six sets of tees make the course accessible to players of all skill levels. In addition to the course, St. Johns Golf & Country Club also offers extensive practice facilities including a 10,000 sq. foot putting green, chipping green, and a double-sided driving range.

The course and staff were excellent , the drriving range and course had an awful smell , like someone got sick , maybe fertilizer, whatever it was , it was awefull

Great golf course
This is a course everyone should play. A few tricky holes if you don't know where you're going but pretty well right in front of you. Hit it straight and you can score
Very enjoyable
Very friendly place to play. Rental clubs were new Callaways. Enjoyed the course layout. Pace of play was slow but the ranger took ccare of this and we moved along.
Looking forward to returning.
Nice facility
Beautiful place, great layout, lots of water and sand but fair. Very fast greens, conditions overall good. Golfer's eye candy...but very busy.
Great golf course
had a good time playing this course for the first time. Created a need for driving accuracy with fairway bunkers in the driving areas and elevated greens. The wind created a nice challenge to try and score. Overall i liked the course and would gladly play it again.
Excellent course
It was my first time playing here and I was impressed. The staff was very attentive and informative from start to finish. Course layout was nice and in great condition. Greens were fast and had to get use to that, as other courses I’ve played have been slow. Overall it was a great day even with the slow threesome in front of use.
Best course to play for the money.
This course is great, and the price to play golf is is very good compared to the resort courses, and I've played the resort courses. This course is very well kept 👏, and the playing conditions are immaculate. I will recommend this course to anyone who may be looking to play golf ⛳️ in the St Augustine/Jacksonville area. 😉 and
Greens
Some of the fastest green I’ve putted.!! Nice layout. Would play again next time I’m in town
Normally excellent greens
The greens are normally A+, but seems like they lost the grass on quite a few of the greens. Still a great course, just left a little to be desired on the greens.
Great time playing
The course was in great shape for this time of year and the greens are fast! Love playing this course!
Excellent Public Course
Course was fast & in excellent condition. Carts with distance display was very helpful. Rental clubs were also excellent.
Pace of play.
Overall the course was in great condition, good layout, tee boxes were in good shape and positioned for a reasonable difficulty.
-the greens were sandy and patchy, you would roll a putt and it would jump and waver several times to the hole but still fast.
-pace of play and courtesy of play, I was only able to play 9 in about 3 in a half hours…as a two ball my partner and I would tee off then wait 15 minutes to 20 minutes between every shot. There was a lot of tour pro green reading or tee boxing aiming going on between the 2 or 3 groups ahead of us. IE lacking a marshal to keep up the pace of play I guess.
Great course will play again
Excellent course and well maintained. Would play again next time in the area.
