Chestatee Golf Club

Bent grass greens taking a beating and being encroached upon by Bermuda, but course otherwise in good shape.

The weather was hot with the occasional breeze as we played Chestatee. Given the rain over the last few days the course was in fantastic condition. The fairways were well grown in and created a good lie. The greens were a bit slower than I remember them but given the heat it is understandable. Unfortunately they are a bit soft and way too many golfers don't repair their ball marks on the green which made for some bumpy conditions. Overall, it was a very good round and I will be back soon.

The course is in great shape and pace of play was nice..I will say this if you have the opportunity to play do so because this course can’t get in better shape..

Bent grass greens were in great shape. Not overplayed. Some very challenging holes, playing it for the first time and not knowing the course. Would like to play it again soon now that I have seen it once. Will definitely be back soon.

Well worth the drive. Picturesque well taken care of golf course. Course condition was fantastic. Greens were a little on the slow side for my preference, but rolled true. I definitely will be back again.

Absolutely the best shape the course has been in for a long time! The food is very good and the staff was very friendly! Brand new carts and the greens were fast and true...the best around that I have seen! Great pace of play also! I'll be back for sure!!!

What a great day for golf. The only thing that I didn’t like was that you don’t come back towards the clubhouse after nine holes. And with no cart girl out there, I was hallucinating because I didn’t have any IPA’s to drink.

Great lay out good conditions, greens were excellent. Sand traps are inconsistent many have thin red dirt. It's a hike from Alpharetta, but worth it.

Beautiful day on a beautiful course! Great conditions Pace of play was OK 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon is not terrible. Nice track and would recommend to all.

This course has great features and the layout was good. The Marshal on the course was so pleasant very nice gentleman. I am hoping to get another great deal. Please everyone who plays golf this is a must you have to go and play there. I just love this golf course.

I have had the pleasure of playing this golf course numerous times and have always enjoyed my rounds. Traditionally the course conditions have been slightly below par but the design has made up for this. On this occasion however, the course was in the best shape I have ever seen. The greens were very smooth, fairways and tee boxes lush and the rough in better shape than in the past. I understand that the area had a very wet winter and this no doubt contributed to the conditions, however it seems that the course may be draining better than in the past?

The staff are always very friendly and the pace of play is not too bad. My one minor criticism is the practice range as the club lacks a full length facility and usually requires you to hit off mats.

The club have continued efforts to improve/replace their bunkers and once completed, Chestatee will truly be at the top of their game!

Course in good shape. Some areas still wet and sand traps need work.

Had a great time on this course. It was my first visit to this course and the elevation changes added to the challenge. Greens were slow, but putts held their lines.

The staff, from the golf shop to the cart staff, were extremely friendly and helpful.

They do have course guides available if it’s your first visit.

First time playing, course is still in winter dormant mode, greens recently punched but rolling pretty well. Great layout w/challenging elevational changes. Several tight fairways with well placed hazards. Bunkers were inconsistent, some full and sugary, others bare and rocky....needs improvement here. Pace was OK, (4 hrs) but as a twosome expected to play more quickly. Definitely coming back, especially when the course comes into season
