Chestatee Golf Club

It is a great course but the condition of the course was disappointing. lots of areas and bunkers were in repair and greens were aerated. still they charge nearly 80.00 for a round.

I always enjoy Chestatee. It is a beautiful course and extremely challenging in spots. It’s always in great condition.

Always enjoy a round at chestatee. Good facility and staff. The course was in good shape, considering significant rain just a few days earlier. One of my favorite places to play in the area.

Thin with little to no grass. Traps full of water and not raked at all even where they could have been. Guess that was due to an overnight rain? But never saw anyone out on the course working to make it more playable all day. Golf Now deal was great, except it was made for the wrong day. So I paid full price at $68.50. Head Pro would not even consider giving me anything off, but he did fit me in. Still would not have even been worth the Hot Deal price that I had already paid in advance. Very, very poor condition when I played it on Friday, March 30th. Maybe it will be better when the grass grows in???

Greens were very good but there are some holes with washout / erosion issues and the bunkers were either average of bad (needs new sand badly). Layout is very good with exception of #10.

Fun course to play and good challenge from blue or black tees

Purchased recent deal online and was looking forward to playing a new course. When I called to make my tee time, I wish I had been told about the course conditions. The course was incredibly waterlogged and most of the bunkers had standing water. Greens were fast and fun and layout was interesting, but having to play a new course from cart path only with several fairways that could not be safely walked was not good.

Enjoyed the course thoroughly, all 102 shots. LOL

I am looking forward to playing once the dampness goes away and the green grass comes back. Sorry to hear about your water main break.

What a perfect day to play a challenging course, would recommend this to all.

This course is not worth $40+. It was cart path only due to being extremely wet. Not giving this review due to cart path only. I can deal with that. There were quite a few drainage issues on the course though. My biggest problem was the quality of the greens and hole placement in the bad areas (see picture as an example). I was expecting pristine greens, since the course gets 4 stars When you have big greens, you should not have the holes located in the bad areas of the green. The greens had bare spots and some had poa annua. Green side bunkers were lacking sand or needed to be tilled. They were machine raked. Not much sand in them. Setup for a proper bunker shot and my club bounced off the hard pack under a light covering of sand. I can see this on a $20 course, but not a higher end course. My buddy was in the bunkers more than me. He had the same problem on numerous holes.

On the positive side of this course. Fantastic staff, very friendly and first class. The course is fun and challenging. Lots of elevation changes. Great views.

I might give the course another chance in the growing season.

Always enjoy playing here. Good management, well manicured course, good pace of play, even after all the recent rain. Nice greens anytime I play here.

Always a pleasure to play and a very nice course to play

Beautiful course in great shape, the only negative was the fall leaves. Hard to spot your ball with so many leaves on the fairways and especially the first cut of rough. Really challenging layout with some tight fairways complimented with various hazards, all in all a great course and wonderful golf experience.

The course was very good, and the staff was outstanding

We had a three some and followed a foursome with little delay. Course in great shape tee to greens with exception of trap maintenance in progress on a couple holes. Elevation on this course requires an extra stick on most uphill shots. Great view of Lanier on 17. Good buy on Golfnow.
