Chestatee Golf Club

Wow the trees were colorful today. I stayed out of the woods, but from the fairway they looked beautiful. It was perfect weather and it was just me out there. I didn’t crush beers today, which was a change. My score was much better because of it. Peace

I have played the course a number of times and always try to make it here anytime I am in the area.

Challenging but fair and in good condition.

It looked liked the greens were recently aerated and were bumpy.

Played here several times and just keeps getting worse. Used to be immaculate, now seems like no one cares despite the fact that my pace was slowed considerably due to maintenance guys watering. Tee boxes weren’t great, fairways are brown, most greens are still good, but some (ESPECIALLY no. 2) are riddled with weeds and ball marks. Another big thing for me was that range balls aren’t free anymore. I was told this was due to the course going public about 90 days ago. Just sucks to see a place deteriorate in front of your eyes, reminds me of the old Milton country club.

I guess they have given up watering, or maybe they are being restricted. Fairways are looking pretty brown. They are keeping the greens and tee boxes alive. Too bad! Kind of feels like playing in a desert.

The course used to always be in impeccable shape but that was not the case last time I played. Many of the tee boxes were overgrown, fairways not cut, leaves not blown off, etc. Hole #9 does not finish at the club house and the cart girl did not show up until about hole #11 where all she had were crackers, candy, and very mediocre ham and turkey sandwiches. Perhaps you should consider setting up a concessions stand between holes 9 and 10 so that people can get something to eat. They also got rid of range balls being included and apparently cancelled all of their members via email. The staff did not seem incredibly pleased with the direction the course was taking and I would agree. This used to be my go-to course but I will not be going back and will simply give my business to Hampton where the course is kept and the price is cheaper!

Solid course, a lot of the grass was dead on the fairways but probably because it’s so hot and no rain. First couples greens were rough, but then they got better and we’re nice, seemed like they were aerated recently. Overall solid course, and pretty affordable on weekends and hot deals.

Love this course and the views are awesome. Much better condition than earlier in the year.

I have played this course many times before and it's in great shape. The golf pro was super nice and we felt very welcomed. The pace of play was excellent and the greens were fantastic for this time of the summer. Glad its available to us on golfnow. I may contact the pro for some lessons this fall !!

I teed off in the afternoon playing by myself and didn't catch up to anyone until the 13th hole. They let me through and I finished to round in just over 3.5 hours. Course is in nice shape and the staff are always helpful. It was hot, but we did catch a breeze on a couple of holes. I believe this is one of the best courses in North GA. I played from the Bl/Wh and that is around 6,200 yds.

If you haven't played here make it a point to do it! I wish this course was closer. I'll be back.
