Wet conditions made for additional challanges but course layout is scenic and will test your skill level.the course is hilly and plenty of blind drives to uphill greens.overall this is a fun track to play!

Discovered Chestatee during the summer and have played about 10 rounds there. Great track; lots of elevation changes and some pretty views of the mountains and Lake Lanier (17 is gorgeous from the tee box). Gotta play the course left of the 150 most of the time; it would be a tough course for big faders/slicers. Good tee box choices including a 6250 yard 'members' option (whites and blues) which I like. Greens lately have been as fast as any I've ever played on and they roll true. They are very firm; well struck approach shots will hold just fine, but you won't get any '1 bounce and check' pitches. For the most part, bunkers have plenty of sand. #8 is the #1 handicap hole; a long par 4 with water all along the right and a pond to cross about 30 yards in front of the green. It's a good test to see if you're playing from the proper tees.
All in all, a very enjoyable course that doesn't seem to get that much play. A couple of Sundays ago I got in 36 in less than 6 hours, playing by myself and hitting 2 balls without having to wait very often. Maybe the best value of any of the 'north' courses.

Always love playing at Chestatee. Course was in great condition. Pace of play was very good (3:50 for 4 players). Unbelievable value - less than $40 including range balls.

Scenic course gives you a view of the N. GA mountains, without going all the way up there. Easy access directly from GA 400, also makes for a good excuse to stop at the nearby Premium Outlet Mall. Well maintained with excellent facilities. Enjoyable round!

Very nice staff and free range balls. Beautiful layout with great views. Fivesome in front slowed the pace but no big deal.

We were able to play with two for around 60$. The staff was great and the greens were pristine.

This is a very fun course. A lot of shot options for a mountain course. Open fairways and good bail outs. Terrific views and very friendly staff. I would recommend this course to friends. It was well worth the price.

I've had great luck with this course, finding good Golfnow.com deals and good pace of play. Played early in the day as a single today, and went through a few other groups, then moved quickly around the course. Greens are in very good shape. A good mix of tough and easier holes, with interesting par 5s that can be challenging if you don't hit the ball in the proper area off the tee. Number 8 is one of the toughest par 4s in the area, but still fair. Definitely a course to add to your play list.

Nice track in upscale neighborhood. Lots of "ups and downs" that require dialing in the right distances. Course provided daily pin sheet and a GPS program in my phone really helped. Be prepared for a significant number of up hill shots... enjoyable test of golf.

Course was in great condition and is well maintained. Course is hilly and has ample water challenges.

The course was in great shape. Tee Boxes and Fairways were lush. Greens were fast and true. The only issue may have been that some of the sand traps were short on sand and difficult to get out of.

From the blue tees this course is rated at 70.9. It's much harder than that. But it's a fun course to play and it really looks good to the eye. Tees were a 9, fairways a 10 and greens a 10. Liked it so much, we're bringing a couple of friends to play it again today.

Had been a couple of years since I had played this course and was really pleased at the condition of the course. Greens rolled true and were very fast.

Played here in late Sept and the course was in awesome condition. It's a player friendly course but very challenging at the same time. Really looking forward to playing this course again!

Greens have recovered nicely from aeration and top dressing. Fairways and tee boxes in real good condition as well.

The greens at Chestatee have been below average-to-poor for over a year. They're constantly aerating and sanding the greens (4 times in the past year to date). They also refuse to cut the greens, so even when they are not riddled with holes and sanded, they are ridiculously slow and unchallenging. Save yourself the greens fees, drive and gas money. 90% of any public course around will have better greens.

I had a great time playing a course in good shape (greens sanded and punched). Some very difficult holes, but some easy ones, all equals out.

Good mix of par 5 and par 3 holes. Fairways in great condition. Greens had just been worked on.
