Chestatee Golf Club

We played not long after it had rained with most courses closed. Surprisingly, the course was in really good shape as I have previously seen it not drain so well on certain holes. Most bunkers were full of water, completely understandable. Weather scared most away and it felt like we had the course to ourselves. Only a few delays due to storms.

Love the layout, greens were slower than past rounds. On a few holes the greens were rough on the edges. Still, this course is in my top 5 public courses to play. Will definately keep coming back.

I need a 2nd round with this course. Couple of holes require that. Hottest cart girls ever, nice too. Pace was a tad but slow, still a nice outing. Love the club house and staff is polite.

First time around on an absolutely beautiful day. Staff very friendly. We ran into some slow play, the rangers were on it, gave the slow group a warning and when they didn’t speed up, he made them skip a hole.

Fairways were mostly in very good shape. A few tee boxes needed a lot of help, but the rest were good. Greens had a few rough spots around the edges like many courses these days, for the most part in very good shape, just a little slow.

Traps need a lot of help. Steep faces with very inconsistent sand, some like sugar, others more dirt-like. Most was filled with gravel bits that end up embedded in the greens. Stay out of the traps is my best advice.

Very Friendly Staff. Got wings after our round very good but the wings were small....Tiny Chickens?

Beer was really cold.

Always enjoy this course. Layout is interesting and challenging. My only complaint is the sand traps. They are more of a mix of sand and red clay. Extremely hard to hit out of especially after any rainfall when compared to better maintained bunkers. Many have puddles in the low spots when it has rained.

Extremely slow. Waited 10 or more minutes on some holes.

I have been looking for another course near me that’s nice. I think I found it. Course was beautiful and in great shape! Staff was friendly and the cart girl came around at least 4 times. I will definitely be back :)

Play here often. The course and greens are good shape. Even though we had a brief wait on each hole we were still rolling along at about 2 hrs a side. One issue is the bunkers have gotten really bad. Most of them seemed to be down to the liner or have more gravel than sand in them. Hopefully this will get fixed. All in all a good course with a decent restaurant for an after round bite!
