Chestatee Golf Club

I was looking for a course to play while I was visiting the Alpharetta area and a YouTube review caught my eye as I was looking for reviews. The review was spot on, what a great course. The staff was very helpful, friendly and inviting. I will definitely play here again during my next trip.

Very challenging course layout and would recommend playing with a group that knows the course. Lot’s of blind shots.

Love playing this course as it is a regular stop for me. Challenging course, enjoyable to play. Will make ya think about your shots. Community Houses aren’t crammed in too close like other courses around which is a plus. Greens are nicely sized and generally in good condition. Clubhouse is nice, food is good. Practice area setup is solid with a large green, chipping area w/ bunker, and range by first tee box. If you’re thinking bout playing for the first time, do it!

Great course. Greens were not up to standards. But, it is early in the golf season and hope they improve as the weather warms up.

Will certainly be back to play this challenging layout.

The greens were in terrible shape. I thought it was a fungas. Staff said it was due to being springtime and the bent grass was fighting with the Bermuda. Never have heard of that. It was March 31 so the fairway grass was still pretty dormant and patchy. Was asked to speed up when no one was behind us and no one in front. It was an average round at best. Price was fine at $65.

Staff is great. Course layout is great. Greens are terrible. However it is early spring and you can expect big improvements as it warms up. I would certainly go back.

I’ve played this course dozens of times. This is by far the worst it’s been. The greens were in rough shape! They were aerated a few weeks ago which is fine but there were a lot of bare spots. Impossible to accurately predict where your putt was going. Hoping the grounds crew can salvage them. The staff was great but the course needs some work!

Fantastic course but greens were not in the best of shape due to aeration and repair spots. Bunkers were in fair condition.

Put some space in between the tee times and enforce slow play. People in front couldn’t hit a fairway, fishing balls out of the water constantly, guys behind us hitting into us. This is a great golf course just poorly managed.
