Staff was great. Course layout is fun and challenging. As of this review the greens are in very poor shape, basically pick up within 5 ft. If/when they get their greens in shape will definitely be coming back.
Could be better, could be worse
Some of the greens are pretty patchy. Tee boxes are cut good but not the best grass. Fairways were hit or miss. If you’re playing in the afternoon, it’s worth $20 in my opinion. Wouldn’t pay much more at the moment
Spruce Creek Golf
Me and my wife love playing here, the greens are a little small but really charming. The staff is wonderful and the restaurant is pretty good also. A nice place.
Very nice place for beginners. Course is in bad shape but staff is very friendly and we would go back for the cost.
Good Day to Play
Fairways in good shape..Rough was cut and very fair.
Traps in good shape. Greens hit and miss. Still many with dirt spots. Light crowd on course. Overall a very good day to play.
BRAVO
I am so pleasantly surprised to be back out here playing this course again. Four months ago I thought this course would be going the way of so many other courses in the area with deteriorating fairways and greens, etc.
Kudos to all the work that you are doing. Many of the greens were highly playable, the fairways are recovering, and the tee boxes may not be too far behind.
Sure wish you had water out on the course though.
Needs Work
I play here once in a while because it's close and almost free. Almost free is the problem. I played for 86 cents with one of my gold now coupons. Hard to have a course in good shape when you can play, with cart, for less than 20 dollars. The course is a great layout, but there is little grass in the fairways and even less grass on the greens. I usually don't even bother putting. Roll the ball around to find grass to hit off of and you have the best driving range for less many than an actual driving range.
