Swiss Fairways Golf Course
About
Located just west of downtown Orlando in Clermont, Swiss Fairways Golf Course utilizes the wide open and hilly terrain that is typical for that area, but uncommon throughout the rest of the state. Large greens welcome low handicappers while strategic bunkering is incorporated into the layout to add some challenge. There are over a hundred sand traps in total and 10 water hazards come into play. Swiss Fairways Golf Course has a relaxed, casual atmosphere that is far from the typical country club environment. Although it is relatively unknown, the Swiss Fairways Golf Course will most likely grow in popularity due to its affordable rates and interesting layout.

Wet fun
All is relative……. Fun course tee box .. lol use your tee .. fair way nice green close cut .. weds and clovers .. BUT u can find your ball
Greens. Are fair and fast .. bottom line .. paid 25 $ 18 holes with a cart … HAD A GREAT TIME Ty SWISS
Fun little course
For the price it’s a great place to get some swings in. Nice views with the skiing lake. Greens rolled way truer than expected with the appearance. No solo carts but if that’s a big deal make some darn friends. Got paired up with a cool person and we breezed through 18. Staff was super nice I’ll go back for another hot deal for sure.
Rip off
This was a 9 hole course for $50 per person not $25. I ended up paying an extra $100 when I arrived with them telling me the charge on Golf Now is not the full price. The condition of the course is maybe worth $10. It is horribly kept up. I could barely tell the fairway from the rough. They had dogs running around the pro shop and up onto the course at times. Avoid this course.
9 hole course
The back nine has been abandoned so you play the first nine twice from different tees. Crab grass fairways, weeds on the greens. All mowed and maintained, just no investment in the quality of grass. Short course, very few hazards. Probably less than 10 players on the course. Play here if it’s under $15 and you just need a quick golf fix - you probably will not go back if you value quality course conditions. Staff was great!
Don’t support this course
I booked a tee time for 9 holes as a single and brought my 5 year old along. He loves golf and has come out with me on several occasions and a few times at this exact course.
It’s never been a problem anywhere until today. When I checked in, John looked at me and said “oh you’re the hot deal guy”. I said yes, I booked online. Then he looked at my son and says “oh you’ve got a rider with you? You are supposed to be sharing a cart with someone in your group”. I say, “no problem. He can sit on my lap or in-between if the other player is okay with it. He’s been here before and knows how to act on the course”.
John then proceeded to start raising his voice at me saying that laws have changed and you’re not allowed to have 3 to a cart. And then he says they don’t have enough carts to give out to every single rider (btw, when we finished up there were probably 15 carts waiting to be cleaned and gassed up with another 10 sitting in the ready line).
I asked him several times why he was raising his voice at me and I also asked why it’s a big deal today but it hasn’t been the other times I’ve checked in for golf with HIM and my son with me.
I get it, every one has bad days but what kind of person yells at you in front of your kid regardless of the situation. There were obviously plenty of carts to go around. Unfortunately, he decides to charge me for an extra cart so I can take one out myself. Keep in mind, I’ve been here before with my son with me when John has checked me in before.
Oh, he also made it VERY clear that he doesn’t like when people come in with tee times booked with a hot deal. In fact, I bet if I had of booked a regular tee time, this whole thing wouldn’t of happened. But instead, he was already upset someone booked a hot deal and he was inconvenienced on top of it bc it meant an extra cart.
There was a woman who also works at the course in there as well taking his defense and tried gaslighting me when I said I didn’t appreciate being yelled at. If she didn’t think he was yelling, I’m glad I’m not around when he actually does.
This is a dying course anyway. They lost half the course and now it’s only 9 holes. Poor tee time management, poor conditions, poor staff. Let it die and do everyone a favor.
I will not be returning but thank you for giving me an opportunity to show my son how you handle people who decide to be confrontational for no reason.
Not as good as it used to be
We have played this course numerous times but not since Covid. The biggest shock was that we found holes 10-18 had been closed and completely overgrown. The course is in a lovely setting but the fairways and greens have many weeds. There is a lack of signage which could confuse anyone who has not played the course. After hole 9 we drove across the road to look for the 10th hole. Unbeknown to use holes 10-18 closed 2 years ago. Unfortunately, we were not told at check in. It is advertised still as an 18 hole course with a scorecard showing 18 holes but in reality it is 2 x 9 holes.
Took my son to play a round together. I’ve played this course several times and find it adequate for our abilty.
Few other golfers played yesterday and the weather was cooperative. Enjoyed getting out to play again. Have been sidelined for a while so I enjoyed getting to play again.
Great Value
I have played quite a few value priced courses around Clermont and for your money this is the best one. If there is one better I haven’t found it. The water hazard challenges are outstanding. My only complaint would be all the pine needles on the greens. Simple fix with a leaf blower every morning and problem solved. Other than that I genuinely really enjoy playing this course.
Good place to practice
I have played Swiss many times. The Pro Shop has a lot of options for purchasing. The staff is always friendly. The course is not in the greatest place, but adequate for the cost of play. Love to take may kids there to learn.
"John" has been the problem with this course for a long time. I had a similar screaming incident a few years ago. IMO he needs professional help!
He clearly hates Golf Now and "Hot deals". He calls them "Free golf" although we have clearly paid for the tee time. If he dislikes his deal with GN...discontinue the deal and book your own times.
