Mt. Woodson Golf Club is one of San Diego County's most popular courses for a number of reasons, one being the spectacular setting. Nestled in the Ramona Valley, the course is sprawls across a dramatic landscape of towering oak trees, enormous granite boulders, and sparkling blue lakes. Nearly every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and canyons. It is also known for being one of the most challenging and well maintained layouts in the area. The tight fairways and small greens demand accuracy. There are also plenty of interesting elevation changes throughout. The golf course offers true target-style golf that will test the shot-making abilities of even the most experienced players. One of the most unique features of the course is the 450-foot wooden bridge that winds through the treetops.

Beautiful Challenging Target Golf

This was my first time playing the course. For those of you that like to hit irons off of nearly every tee this is your course. Very challenging and beautiful golf course. Worth the money but not my cup of tea. Also this was the slowest round of golf I can remember at 5 hrs on a Friday afternoon. The reason it is slow is that even from the back tees you can reach a good number of the par fours. So you are always waiting.

Absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite San Diego courses.

I have been playing this course for years now and it has never been nicer. The management team at Woodson has been taking great care of the course and it is in spectacular shape right now. Many holes play as nice as country clubs. Smooth fairways, tight rough, clean bunkers, and healthy greens throughout the whole course. The layout is tough but very fun. There’s nothing like it in San Diego. With how nice the course is maintained right now, I would recommend it to anyone.

Course is getting better.

I play this course most times when I come to Sandy Eggo. Twice a year for about ten years now.

The course is in the best shape I have ever seen it. It looks like they are spending a little money on maintenance and improvements.

The course is a fun layout and you need to think about where to place your drive. Be sure to check out the views along the way.
