About
Heritage Harbour Golf Club (formerly known as Stoneybrook Golf Club at Heritage Harbour) plays through a landscape highlighted by mature, wooded wetland preserves and ponds. The golf course plays through spacious residential corridors, creating strategic risk/reward holes. At approximately 7,100 yards, multiple tees allow the golf course to be enjoyed by players of all abilities. The golfer who succeeds at challenging the hazards and angles will be rewarded with the proper angle for the next shot and an opportunity for a birdie. Designed by Arthur Hills, one of the world's top golf course designers, Heritage Harbour Golf Club is located just a half mile east of I-75 at exit 220.

Thanksgiving Eve Round
I Have played this course for many years on and off. The name changed along with the ownership. Heard they sold off the old hole one and two to developers for a hotel or condo. The course went through a renovation around that time, probably around a year or so ago. Honestly, I was hoping for a better outcome than the conditions we saw while playing. We were notified by the staff that some of the greens were under repair?! What?! They just did a renovation! There were about 5 or 6 greens that were just pitiful. Bare spots, with patches of new turf sectioned in. Some areas of the rough (near SR64) are just embarrassing. This used to be a well maintained course (no River Strand). I'm hoping they can turn things around, because the potential is definitely there.
Big Changes - Needs to Mature
I've played this course many times, but not in the last two years. It was in such bad shape we stopped playing there. Since then they have done lots of work; new greens, new layout, new holes. It's going to be really nice but it needs a few months to fill in and mature.

Disappointing Return
Prior to the course redesign this was a great course. Now the layout is second rate and very disappointing. The conditions were bad, but even if they were good the course just doesn’t make sense. They converted par 5s to shortened par 4 and par 3s to make up for the land sold. Simply not worth the drive from Tampa.

Poor conditions, slow pace of play, no range
Course was in terrible shape. Can’t believe golf now has this as a featured course. Do not recommend. They desperately need a new greens keeper. There were squares of dead sod on the greens where they were trying to repair them but failing. Not worth the money. No range either. Weeds and dead spots all over course and greens

New course layout is an improvement but the greens and some patches on the fairways need attention (they have struggled to get them to bed in due to drought conditions)It’s a fair test ,nice par threes but some par fours are a bit boring .Good pro shop with nice reasonable selection of clothing.Booking came with a free drink which was a lovely bonus.

Stay away
I had to see with my own eyes how they have ruined this course. I played this course before homes 20 years ago. Greens roll well where there is grass. Lots of diseased spots. Weeds in fairway. Traps weak Will never go back

Bald tires on carts, stuck behind played being coached hitting 2 or 3 balls each
Terrible place. Bald tire on our cart blew up nearly throwing us into the bushes. Had to wait for replacement cart. Was told they can’t maintain carts to a safe standard as they have too many. Complete disregard to health and safety.
A guy was allowed to coach his kids all the way around hitting 2 or 3 balls each.
No water at the water stations but we weren’t informed so 18 holes without a chance to refill.
About 6 greens had work going on.

Still needs some work
This course still needs some TLC. The layout is more confusing than it was before. The staff is excellent and the Bar has great food. I'll still come back again.

Patchwork quilt greens
The greens were literally square patches of grass. When we got to the 10 hole, there was a foresome in front of us (we were 2some). They refused to let us play thur no marshall in site.

Course modifications for condos
This course was one of my favorites and we played it many times over the past several years. Hole 1 and 2 have been removed to build condos and other holes flipped and shortened and now have 4 par 3’s on the back nine. I really missed playing the 9th hole into the clubhouse for a drink and snack as it’s now 18 so you completely bypass clubhouse so using our free drinks vouchers never happened. Wish we were told that..I really hope they redo the course and sort it out!

Course layout
Preferred old layout. First tee is terrible to approach. Rest of course does not seem to have the flow - connecting paths are very mediocre. If recommended to a friend would be with a proviso.

Course was a good time
We enjoyed the layout. Played a foursome just shot of 4 hours. The pace of play was great. The staff was awesome. Ate in the restaurant after golf and the food and wait staff was also awesome.

Gre Considering
They have had some problems with virus on some of their greens. It's really sad cause the greens that aren't affected are great. Most of the fairways are excellent. The staff from the bag drop to the pro shop to the crusty Scottish starter to the rangers are all AAA. Granted, thru GolfNow I got a great price, but it was very worth it. I enjoy the layout a lot despite the routing that they are working on. I can't imagine a better course for that price!! They are working so hard!!

Horrible condition
Not sure what happened to this course. Last season it was fine. It’s now in HORRIBLE condition. On top of the condition we got stuck behind a foursome of ladies and we we waited every shot. Cart said we were 40 minutes behind. Ranger came and never pushed the group in front of us. No cart girl and never get passes the club house to get something to drink. What a shame!
