Inspired by the backdrop of the Manatee River, Ted McAnlis has created the ultimate golf experience with the perfect combination of beauty and challenge. Waterlefe Golf & River Club is built along a particularly beautiful section of the Manatee River, complete with wide expanses of pristine marshes and pleasant coves. Don't be surprised if on the 15th tee you spot a family of manatees poking noses up for a breath of air. The golf course was designed with a great deal of time, effort and expense going toward protecting and resorting the natural environment that gives the course it unique character. The gently sloped greens with the newest Tifteagle Bermuda offer the ultimate in putting. From a lazy start on the par-5 first hole to the big finish on the 18th hole island green, golfers love Waterlefe Golf & River Club!

Excellent course in pristine condition
Thoroughly enjoyed our round. The course is scenic and in superb condition. Challenging but fair. Greens are consistent and true. The staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back.
Out of Towners
Coming from out of town this course was a great vacation spot. Tee boxes were a little beat up, but everything else was in great shape. A few goofy holes, but otherwise fantastic

Bring plenty of golf balls unless you it where you want all the time. Very nice afternoon playing with two gentlemen from Utah.
Challenging but fair
Course is well maintained. Layout provides plenty of hazards so you need to take care of your ball. If you score well you feel like you accomplished something. Don’t play the wrong tees, you don’t need to make it harder.

Still one of the best
We come down each November to play golf and play Waterlefe every year.
Waterlefe is a great course.Nice layout,perfect conditions and very challenging.
A must play.
Stunning for any money
This place is so intriguing yet very playable, all surface are pristine, greens are fast and smooth, food and beverage is great from either the cart or the bar. High class but homey.
Find Another Course
After asking the ranger to speed up play between the 9th 20th hoke, he basically said no. After driving off he came and said he would. Of course the group in front got slower and we had a 3 hour back 9.
To add insult to the slow play, there were many greens that had bare spits covered with sand. This made some putts difficult.
Until a ranger dies jus work and the greens are fixed, I would. Not recommend this course. There are many better in Tampa area.
Very nice course.
Good conditions. Greens very receptive but not mushy. Balls roll true with not a lot of curves. Good GPS on carts. Nice layout. Never close to any houses. Some car noise. Ok water practice range with balls provided.
Waterlefe Country club.
Beautiful an challenging course. Water on just about every hole so bring extra balls if you can't keep it straight. Would recommend this course to all. Very friendly staff, an nice amenities available.
