Inspired by the backdrop of the Manatee River, Ted McAnlis has created the ultimate golf experience with the perfect combination of beauty and challenge. Waterlefe Golf & River Club is built along a particularly beautiful section of the Manatee River, complete with wide expanses of pristine marshes and pleasant coves. Don't be surprised if on the 15th tee you spot a family of manatees poking noses up for a breath of air. The golf course was designed with a great deal of time, effort and expense going toward protecting and resorting the natural environment that gives the course it unique character. The gently sloped greens with the newest Tifteagle Bermuda offer the ultimate in putting. From a lazy start on the par-5 first hole to the big finish on the 18th hole island green, golfers love Waterlefe Golf & River Club!

Great Track
Everything about the course generally exceeded my expectations. Compared to other courses in the area this is among best. If you are a walker the back nine Is a tough walk. I would definitely recommend this course for It’s structure, themes and overall challenging features. There is a good amount Of water and generally clubbing down or an easy swing is rewarded on many shots.

Nice course. Very challenging and staff is amazing and friendly
Really Good Gulf Coast Course
Waterlefe is a real hidden gem on the Gulf Coast and a really fun and beautifully laid out course. The greens had just been punched 2 weeks before, but other than that the fairways were in fantastic shape, carts were excellent and the golf was a lot of fun. Lots of water hazards expected, but that is part of the great layout.
Punched greens
Would of given a better rating but greens were punched otherwise great course and layout
Greens recently aerated are still bumpy. Could use a topcoat of sand. Otherwise overall very good courses conditions
Oversanded
Love this course. I was aware that the greens were aerated, but the amount of sand used made them virtually unplayable. The rest of the course was great per usual.
Greens were plugged & sanded, but still putted nicely.
Nice course
Course was in pretty good shape, especially with the amount of rain from tropical storm Elsa!!
Cart path only slowed down play a bit but was needed to keep the course playable
Very nice
I was pleasantly surprised, this course in Manatee was well worth the money. The staff was friendly and courteous, the course was in perfect shape, and pace was excellent. I will definitively be back

Beautiful course, challenging
with water on all holes,, well maintained and a friendly staff. Not recommended for high handicappers.

This course has some increadible views. The whole course is a trip through the rainforest with some golf intertwined
