The course is in terrible condition.Tee boxes all dirt,no grass on fairways,and the greens are unputtable.The course needs a lot of work to put back into playable condition.
this course should not be on gilf now
this course was so bad there was no grass in fairways in 17 of the holes all sand the green s where just as bad
i live in florida i have never played a course in this condition i also had a problem checking in at the pro shop the personnel were rude the club house was’t much better they should have paid me to play this course i would not recommend anyone to play at citrus national golf course
Great layout
Course is well designed just need more grass to grow
What a shame
What potential this course has. Such great character and a brilliant layout. That being said it was the worse golf course I’ve ever played. Its condition was totally horrible! Sandy tee boxes, fairways had zero grass. The greens….OMG!!! They should’ve given me my money back.
First time here
The golf cart paths were great, the fairways terrible, the greens just as bad.
The course has a lot of potential.
Regular maintenance and a few upgrades might help
Good value, course improving
Most tees and fairways are brown, with little grass - need water and TLC. Back 9 better than front. Traps and greens are decent. Some greens on front are spotty. Great staff and very good layout.
fairways are not good or excist
A crying shame that this great layout is in such bad condition.Tees and fairways are mostly sand.With all of the rain last summer they should be plush green grass.Bunkers were good.Greens had spots of sand on them and little green plants growing on them that made puts bounce offline.A made putt was accidental.I liked the weird squirrels.Great clubhouse.
Great Value, fast play, conditions improving
Pace of play was excellent at 3 hrs for 18. Most of the greens were good, and fast. Fairways and tees need water. Great value for the money.
Citrus National
It is disappointing that citrus national is in such poor condition. There is not much grass throughout the tee boxes and fairways. Greens roll pretty average but have some spots with no grass. Bunker are surprisingly very good with lots of good quality sand. Layout is amazing with many hole that force you to hit a variety of shots. Staff is very friendly and they are very honest about the course conditions. Though they hope that with recent efforts the course can get back to good condition next year. Though the conditions are not great I would definitely record trying out the course because it is good practise and you are also provided with a full grass driving range. ( yes the driving range has grass unlike the course) I hope the course conditions improve because the layout is amazing and it seems the staff is putting lots of effort into restoring the course.
Enjoyable and Relaxing
The staff are very friendly and personable, the pace of play was perfect.
Beautiful course, peaceful and quiet.
