Park Ridge Golf Course
About
Park Ridge Golf Course transformed what was formerly the site of the Lantana Landfill into a popular municipal course. Construction began on this unique undertaking in 2004 and the end result was certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary. The course climbs up to 85 feet, making it one of the highest golf courses in the county. It has a links-style layout that rolls across a variety of elevation changes, offering plenty of stunning views along the way. Such a contoured and hilly course is a rare occurrence in Florida. The golf course provides a challenge with some very tricky par 3s, several blind shots due to the rolling terrain, and strategically placed traps throughout but there are no water hazards except for one lateral hazard. There is also thick rough framing many of the holes.

Course was just airated yesterday. Should be closed!
First time playing here and it lived up to reviews. Loved the elevation changes and conditions were good even with greens just having been worked on. Course could use another Sandra or two here and there. Teamed up with fun partner and with 7am tee time we played in just under 3 hours. I will be back for sure.
Different than other South Florida courses and Great!
Beautiful different layout than other courses with lots of elevation changes. Not easy but loved it! The staff is so friendly and nice. Only problem is the golf carts but they’re replacing them soon. I’ll definitely be back!
Something Different in Florida
This was my first time playing this course but I did receive some assistance from my two playing partners who had played it many times. The course is NOT your typical Florida layout. It has numerous elevation changes, it is a links type course with a lot of gorse type of shrubbery. There are the usual water holes but the course was interesting and challenging and must be played more than once, It was worth the price and I would play it again.
Most Unique Course In South Florida!
This course is in a great area, the staff was very friendly, course conditions were solid
But the biggest selling point with this course is the elevation and how unique the layout is.
You won’t find a course like this in South Florida and for the price you’re paying it’s a tremendous value.
.
Park Ridge is a nice course offering its unique challenges among South Florida courses - probably one of the few courses that plays with multiple elevations. And to be paired with some wonderful people - complete strangers - made it more enjoyable. It would have been a perfect afternoon were it not for the rude cartman who was angry for me not returning cart to their expected stations. But it’s all because of their own flawed systems. Instead of blaming the player, why not put a sign to drive cart farther up ahead. If it happens all the time, improve the system by putting up a sign where it could be easily seen.
The layout is fun and not your typical FL course as others have said. There is water on just one hole but tall “decorative grass” lining almost every hole which makes it challenging if you don’t hit it straight.
The course was in good condition. The greens are pretty slow and have some patches of foreign grass, but they roll true.
The main reason the course didn’t get 5 stars is that the carts are junk. The carts are old gas carts that sometimes didn’t want to start. All 3 carts in our group had issues. For $70+ green fees they should be better.
