About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

Love this course
One of my favorite courses in the area. I play here about 2-3 times per month. It is a bit of a shorter course but I love it. Pace of play is good, staff is super friendly, club house is cool, greens are always in pretty good shape, and the course is perfect.
Nice short course
The course is in great shape considering how dry it has been. While it is short on length it has its challenges. Great place to work on iron play.

Great short course, very well maintained
A challenging, well-designed, fun executive course. The staff is very friendly, the GPS in the carts makes it easy to figure out where you need to go and what club you need, and the greens, and course overall, are kept in great shape!

Beautiful
Greens are great.
Most area courses are dry and burnt out due to the lack of rain...The Groves is in great shape. Greens are Beautiful and are in great shape. Tees and Fairways are nice. 2 temporary tees on the front nine, but looks like the overseeded tee boxes on both of those are just about ready to open back up.
The staff here is tremendous, Nico is awesome every staff member has always been polite and super nice.
I've never had a bad experience here.

Best place for us to play
I moved here in 2002 and shortly afterward I had a chance play a round of golf and was immediately liked the course and all the associated functions including the staff and food service. The course for me was a moderate challange because of layout that entices you to take risk if you are feeling that your game is going well or you can play it safe. Two examples of this are the par 5 4th hole that gives you a big reward if you can hit a long ball across the dogleg and land in the fairway where you have only a wedge shot to the green to score a 3 or 4 stroke finish. The other one is the par 4 10th hole which measures 234 yards from the white tees and here again if you are hitting the ball well you could easily drive the green over the water. In all this course is a great place to play and does not disappoint anyone that I have ever talked to.

Best home town course and value
Everybody is always so friendly whether you’re calling or in person live very close to the course. It is always our first place to call for availability love the layout and how laid-back it is and friendly. Everybody is on and off the course. Don’t skip this course give them a try if u have never played there

Course was under maintenance, had to play the back 9 twice. Did not know course was under maintenance until I got to the course
