About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

Course quality gone dowm
I have played the course over 50 times so I am well versed on this course. Its been a couple of weeks since I have golfed and the tee boxes, and fairways are getting bad, Its like a new contractor has taken over the maintenance. But the good news is that the greens are in great shape

A friend's view
I brought a friend to play along and he loved it! We had some rain and a delay but completely sunny afternoon while on back nine! He really liked the quarry
Scenic view and course layout! The secondary grass on front nine was a little too lo g but back nine much better! I suspect it was due to the rain! I will be back!

Love this course!
The Groves is ideal for
shorter hitters but almost every hole has potential to cause an issue!

Only issue we had was the greens r not back to 100% due to being aerated!
By nxt wk they should be back to normal!
There r a couple of tee boxes under repair but this just shows they keep doing small improvements!

Renovations
Much course work being done renovating tee areas on a number of holes. They should not be charging full price while they renovate.

Book somewhere else
This course is located within a 55+ community and trust me they will let you know if you don’t belong. The pace of play was absolutely awful and zero etiquette was offered for a play through while they search for balls in the water and proceed to tell you that it’s their course. What a shame too because the back 9 bistro is awesome great food and exceptional staff but unfortunately you have to deal with the majority of the community giving you dirty looks and making snide comments. Will never return.
