About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

Slow Play
Had a 1pm tee time, no one showed so ended up playing with a 2 person group at 110pm, got to the turn and everything was stacked up, 3 some in front of me, 4 some in front of them, so i made it to 11th hole and turned around and left as it was extremely slow, due to course closure starting today and assuming everyone wanted to play.. Wish i would have know prior to booking.
Great short course
I was able to book a great “Hot Deal” tee time at this course. It was my first time playing and I will be back. Very short course, but it was fun!

Nice day of golf
Had an overall good course, the greens were a little fuzzy, slower.. But we’re in overall good shape. Staff was friendly good layout overall good time and good value. Carts are in great shape as well as the cart paths. Has ball washers on every hole that have water in them which is a good thing.

Great Short course. Accurate Irons are a must...
The course is short but still challenging. Have to hit accurate iron shots or pay the penalty. You may hit a driver twice and if your a long hitter leave it at home.

Fun Course
Only got to play 9 holes as the rain kicked in with a nice dose of lightning. Front nine had 4 par 4's and 4 par 3's with one par 5. Lots of water/conservation areas.
Greens and bunkers were in excellent shape. Tee boxes on several holes need some work. Overall very enjoyable and will be back

Love the course but not all the players
I play this course very regularly but the last few weeks have been increasingly frustrating. With the exception of sanding a few tee boxes (I know its necessary) the course is in outstanding condition. That said, the players that have been playing recently have little to thought to others on the course. I frequently play as a single and on occasion I will approach the group in front of me and ask if I can play through if I'm catching them frequently. Normally this isn't an issue but recently I have found that people just ignore you and drive off after looking directly at you. Now I'm not saying its a requirement to allow people to play through but it does help the pace of play for the course. So, a little courtesy and golf etiquette go a long way.

Solid Greens and Layout for 4000 yard course

Exemplary golf experience
From the moment we arrived we were impressed. Great staff, excellent practice facility, and a course that looks far better than a drought should allow. Pace was tough for the first few holes, but this course has a ranger who actually does the job with a smile. I will absolutely be back many times.

nice practice area, was greated warmly and was helped immediately. greens in very good condition, long distance if walking between green and next tee box on some holes, also some holes have tight landing areas, better hit your shots with accuracy.

Great Short Course
This was my first time playing this course. It is very short. The staff was very friendly. The golf carts are comfortable and come with GPS. The course conditions were very good. The water range is small, and it is difficult to find space to warm up. Pace of play was excellent, and the greens fees were reasonable. This is a great course for new golfers, but there are some challenging holes for better players.
