Golfer Reviews
Nice Subdivision Track
Nice course, well maintained. Holes are challenging, but not penal. Was pleased that foursome courteously waved us through on 3rd hole, leading to a quick fun round. Extremely reasonable price too.
Excellent Conditions!
Fantastic conditions and pace was very good. Great golf course to play at.
Winston trails
Course was just OK greens were not the best very Sandy and slow pace of play lacked it was just an OK experience not really worth $60
Country clubby
The clubby feel starts before you arrive at the golf course with a special entrance for non residents and non members. Those without the appropriate bar code will wait with the delivery vendors, the contractors and the landscapers to be approved and allowed entry into the Winston Trails neighborhood.
The practice facilities at the course are outstanding. A big beautiful putting green gives you plenty of elbow room in this time of COVID, a driving range with grass hating areas and proper flags for distance are s nice change from mats and hitting areas comprised of unmarked pasture or a pond. In addition there is a separate chipping area with a practice bunker.
The course itself is in fine condition. Greens are reasonably well maintained despite the members scraping their golf shoes on them as they walk and tearing up the Bermuda. The course tends to play a solid 10-15 yards longer than the posted yardages. I found myself under clubbing by a full club on approaches and par threes. Listed at 7000 from the blues it plays every inch of that especially on the back nine with several par 4’s clocking in at about 450.
The only downside is the members.
Dog leg right? Again?!
If you love a dog leg right, you will love this course. Biggest issue was the pace. We were sent out with a foursome and then the must have started every 8 minutes after with a bunch of twosomes. Don’t play this course late in the day. The sun setting on the back nine is painful.
Nice local course
WT was friendly. Fairways and greens in good shape considering the season and the number of rounds played there. Challenging and fun, will be back,
Nice course but pace of play way slow
I didn’t expect to have a 41/2 hour round on a Monday. Not enough spacing between groups and a 10 to 15 minute delay on every tee. Common guys space it out
