The low-cut rough and tiered greens make it player-friendly and fun.

Winston is a winner
One of the best public courses in the area with some of the most consistent and smooth running greens you will find. Great staff too!
Slow pace
Took over 5 hrs to play round
Group in front of us was very slow and no ranger approached them even after we asked to jump a hole
Other than that course in great shape, very long
Be aware of tee markers
Blacks in front of whites
Blues are tips
Course plays very long from whites
We should have moved up to blacks
Great Value
Really great value for this course. It was your typical Florida golf course (surrounded by houses/ water), but was relatively forgiving off the tee. Also had nice greens and some fun holes. For what I paid, I will definitely be playing there again if I'm in the area.
Great Experience
Course was in great shape, greens rolled very well. Layout is challenging but fair and many sets of tees for each level of golfer in your group.
Very Slow Play
Took over 4 1/2 hours to play round, our group all shot low to mid 80's.
All of a sudden on the 3rd tee box another foursome appeared in front of us. Weren't there for holes 1 and 2.
Ranger on tee box and let them tee off before us.
Had to wait almost every shot. At least 1 full hole open in front of them most of round.
Other than that had nice time, course plays long from white tee boxes.
So Slow, read a magazine between holes
I started out advised I would run into a father and son pair playing, with a three some in front of them, yet there was one single whom just couldn't help himself dropping extra balls to play alternate shots at each interval. After calling the pro shop, the ranger advised skipping two holes (at this point I was playing 10-20 minutes behind pace of play), which allowed me to finish my 18 hole round 35 minutes after sundown. The course scorecard listed :14 interval between holes, which explains a 4:30 pace of play, which is great unless you start anytime after 2pm with sunset at 6pm. I would enjoy this course more I guess with a morning tee time, just not in the afternoon its too slow. Otherwise the course is perfect.
Nine holes in 2 hours
Very nice course. Fairways, greens, tees, and bunkers all in very good shape. Wide open fairways with good bunkering.
Only critique is that it is not for those that desire a more challenging round.
I liked it because I shot 3 strokes below my handicap!
This course is our favorite
beautiful terrain, wavy greens and very fast. only the cart path would need repair.
It was another Perfect day.
Great Condition
We really enjoyed playing at Winston Trails. The course design is really nice and it is in great condition. Well worth playing
Nice course
We played today and the course was in very good shape. Very forgiving and the greens are in good shape. Enjoyed our round.
Not a fan of the rakes on the cart. I think it leads to poor maintenance of the bunkers because it is so easy to forget the rake!
We booked a hot deal and it was very good value for what we paid.
Very nice course
Winston Trail is in very good shape with fast sloppy greens. Bunkers are in reasonable shape. The course layout is very challenging, bring your A game. Pace of play is within 4 hours or close. Ranger on the course to accelerate play if needed. Nice practice facilities.
Beautiful layout
This course has many beautiful holes. Most greens are protected by traps and fescue. It rained off and on during our game but we still enjoyed playing this course. Would love to go play again.
Great public course
I grew up playing public courses and this is a real gem. Good price and they keep the course in nice condition. It’s not pristine but’s it’s also not a private course. The greens roll great. The course layout is friendly and in the afternoon there’s not many people on the course. The practice facility is great and the restaurant is pretty good as well. All around a great track. Remember to repair ball marks, fill your divots with sand and rank the bunkers. It makes public play so much better for everyone. Thanks.
Good day at Winston Trails
The course was in good condition and most of the greens were very good, a few spots on some of them but overall good.
Nice private course open to the public
This course had the feel of a private course. Challenging layout but not a crazy layout. Nice selection of tee boxes and length of course to play for various level of players. Greens were difficult because of back to front Slope. Sand traps were good. Will come back in the future.
Nice course
First time playing this course. Loved it. Has a nice layout and is in good condition. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I great price. I recommend this course to others.
