Atlantic National Golf Club
About
Formerly known as Grand Lacuna Golf Club, this par-71 championship course now goes by the name Atlantic National Golf Club. Designed in the late 1980s by Joe Lee, the course was designated one of the 50 best public courses in Florida. The challenging layout has plenty of variety that will require all different types of shots. Golfers will find that they need to use every club in their bag. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides and fairways are particularly tricky. There are some tough holes but it is an accommodating layout for all skill levels, especially since it has four diverse sets of tees. In addition to the golf course, Atlantic National offers a grass driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping area with a practice bunker.

Golfer Reviews
Price
It is a very nice course, but the price is a little heavy compare with the competive course like Winchester near and with very friendly price. Put down your price and you will full the course. I was a golf course owner and I use that way to full my course. So long.
Greens
The course was nice it had wide fairways the greens were in great shape but very fast. I hit the green with one shot and when I got to the green my ball was 10-15 off the green. The par 3’s are long from the white tees 178/172. I’m retired so it might be ok for you. The pace was good. It doesn’t have a restaurant only a small place to get hot dogs or a turkey sandwich
My friend and I drive an hour each to meet up for golf every couple of weeks and look forward to sitting down for lunch and catching up.
All in all it is a good course.
ALWAYS A CHALLENGE!
THE CONDITIONS IN GENERAL WERE GOOD, EXCEPT MAYBE FOR THE GREENS. I SUSPECT THE FLAG POSITIONS HAD BEEN THERE FOR A FEW DAYS...
Almost Back To How I Remembered It.....
Skipped playing here the last couple years as the conditions at times were suspect, course maintenance and disruption of conditions of play was too frequent to spend any treasure on, course closed down every time it sprinkled (psst - we're in south Florida), etc. While the course was in somewhat better condition, the greens nice and speedy and the pace of play sub-4 hours it's still only going to get "conditional status" - like a cheatin' spouse, went on for too long and too many times to regain the trust with a single "I'm sorry, honey, I promise, I'll change."
One of our favorite
Every season we play here. It will continue to make our top list.
