About
Formerly known as Grand Lacuna Golf Club, this par-71 championship course now goes by the name Atlantic National Golf Club. Designed in the late 1980s by Joe Lee, the course was designated one of the 50 best public courses in Florida. The challenging layout has plenty of variety that will require all different types of shots. Golfers will find that they need to use every club in their bag. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides and fairways are particularly tricky. There are some tough holes but it is an accommodating layout for all skill levels, especially since it has four diverse sets of tees. In addition to the golf course, Atlantic National offers a grass driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping area with a practice bunker.

Course in very good shape for the summer
Usually this time of year with HOT and DRY conditions the course would be scorched out and in bad shape. Tee boxes, greens, and fairways were all in very good condition. For the value I'd definitely play this course again.
Nice track
Nice course starter makes sure you on your teen box for time. Greens good, fairways and tee boxes decent. Was 6th group out and finished under 3.5 hours for a weekend.
Boring layout
The course looks like it was designed in 1961. It's an ok course. Better value elsewhere.

Course in excellent condition with fast greens. Enough water to make some of. the holes challenging.

A good course - But
This is one of my favorite local courses. It was
In solid shape But - getting brown from no rain. Greens were good But - recently aerated and not recovered yet. Staff were friendly But - even though it wasn’t busy they refused to let me go out early because of GolfNow reservation. Pace of play would have been fine But - the starter made me wait behind a foursome who should not have been playing this course. They were hitting two or three shots at a time, often completely missing the ball and refused to let me play through. Could have been a great time - But.
Ranger was a bit overzealous. Twosome ahead were very fast. We were behind a bit but twosome behind us was a hole behind. Spoke to us 3 times to pick up pace . We were playing quick and finished in 3:40
