Atlantic National Golf Club
About
Formerly known as Grand Lacuna Golf Club, this par-71 championship course now goes by the name Atlantic National Golf Club. Designed in the late 1980s by Joe Lee, the course was designated one of the 50 best public courses in Florida. The challenging layout has plenty of variety that will require all different types of shots. Golfers will find that they need to use every club in their bag. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides and fairways are particularly tricky. There are some tough holes but it is an accommodating layout for all skill levels, especially since it has four diverse sets of tees. In addition to the golf course, Atlantic National offers a grass driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping area with a practice bunker.

A great afternoon at a fun course Photo submitted by kengeniusz on 02/23/2013
Enjoyable round at Atlantic National
The course was in great condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. I really enjoy the layout of this course. There are several risk/reward tee shots on the course. It's a test because the risk/reward tee shots are over water. You can take it over as much water as you want to shorten your approach shot. The risk is if you come up short your ball is in the water. I appreciate holes like that because it forces you to have a strategy.
Always a treat
A little disappointed this time out on a blazing hot afternoon. While the course wasn’t that busy, I had a 3p tee time and the twosomes in front of me are hunting for lost balls and hitting multiple balls as well. What should be a 3-3.5 hour round is still 4 hours…no excuse! A roving ranger can speed them up. I had to get off the course as it’s just way too hot out there and no water left on the course. I also fix 3-4 ball marks on all greens at that hour. Pls have a ranger increase pace of play or fill the water jugs.
A great golf experience
This course is always very well maintained. The layout is challenging and fun for players of all skill levels. Based on the reasonable greens fees I thought it would've been busier. Playing as a threesome we waited on a few holes but still played in just over four hours. I highly recommend this golf course!
Greens are rolling great for the summertime
Course is looking good from the maintenance and aerations.
Golf course was okay. Greens were punched and slow.
Was never told about this . Ranger was ok
Fun course
Course, fairways, and facilities in great shape, greens were still coming back from being punched from what must have been a few weeks ago, but still decent.
Range and putting greens are great. Shocked by the price of a single Bloody Mary $14.95, but cart person Miller Lites were only $4, so not terrible.
Looking forward to playing again
It should be no more than $50.00 a round all in!
For this time of the year and with the greens aerated it is not worth the price being offered (by the time you pay the green fees/cart/tax/service fee etc). The course layout is decent with a few interesting water holes. Very little undulation on the fairways.
Pace of play excellent
Given the time of the year, there are renovations going on the tee boxes, but overall the course is in very good condition. Everyone was very friendly. I love the golf carts having GPS on them.
Give it a month
Course is in atrocious shape. Did aeration probably 2-3 weeks ago and there’s patches missing on greens and tee boxes are dirt in some places. Needs a week of straight rain and a miracle
Great Experience!
What a great course to play. We drove an hour north to play here and it was well worth it. Great layout, greens are still recovering from aeration but you can tell they will be in great shape in one more week. They were playing slow and bumpy but my score is based on what I know they will be in a week's time. Best part, priced so well on a Sunday morning $65. Can't beat that. Won't find this type of course in Miami near that price.
AERATION NOTICE NOT POSTED!
Greens just aerated and top dressed. Putting conditions not good. Some holes the rough just plugged and plugs are all over the place. Love the course but won’t be in good playing conditions for at least 3-4 weeks. Not worth the money they want right now. They should be upfront and post this on Golf Now to be fair to the golfers.
