About
Formerly known as Grand Lacuna Golf Club, this par-71 championship course now goes by the name Atlantic National Golf Club. Designed in the late 1980s by Joe Lee, the course was designated one of the 50 best public courses in Florida. The challenging layout has plenty of variety that will require all different types of shots. Golfers will find that they need to use every club in their bag. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides and fairways are particularly tricky. There are some tough holes but it is an accommodating layout for all skill levels, especially since it has four diverse sets of tees. In addition to the golf course, Atlantic National offers a grass driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping area with a practice bunker.

Atlantic National
The layout is fantastic. The greens very fast. But the conditions were very dry. Making the fairways and greens very hard.
Average all around
Warning may have been the number of vacant tee times on a Saturday. Course conditions was not the greatest for paying over a 100 per person. Some greens had so many bare spots they would have been deemed unplayable in a tourney.
Staff was very nice and pleasant. Beverage cart was out and seen on a regular basis.
We played in just under four hours right behind a two foursomes. So the pace of play was decent for a Saturday. There was a twosome behind us and so they had to wait. On the last hole they decide to be vocal with us from the fairway but became very silent in the bag drop area after complaining to the ranger.
I love the design and layout of this course and that was the reason I came back with guests however left disappointed.

Some greens need repair. Greens fee was much higher than I pay in Chicago.

The course was in fantastic condition buy the greens are fast and difficult to read. It’s somewhat expensive but one of the best public courses I’ve played in this area
Course a little more difficult then expected. Good value for the dollar. Staff was great, friendly & very helpful!
Atlantic national
the course is burned out due to lack of watering even though they have plenty of lakes on property..Greens are patchy with sand spots. I found it expensive to play due to poor course conditions..

Great layout, fun course. Not too much trouble but you need to think about your shots. Staff was great - Pro Shop was very accommodating when our (GolfNow Online) tee time was bumped up. Would definitely recommend a stop at Atlantic National.

For the price not really good.
No supervision, they let 5 people ahead of us (3) play and they were not pushing them to play in time so we played in 4:45…
Greens are in mediocre shape.
Not worth the amount we paid.
