Arlington Ridge Golf Club
About
Arlington Ridge Golf Club in Leesburg, Fla. runs alongside the Palatlakaha River, which edges along the entire southern boundary. Centuries-old oak trees have a commanding presence on the course with stately oak canopies providing beautiful backdrops to the greens and fairways. Pro golfer and NBC commentator Gary Koch crafted the layout. He wanted to create a golf course that is challenging but not overly difficult, giving it appeal for players of any skill level. The layout has a varied mix of holes that strike a balance between being tough and player friendly. Beginners still have a good shot at finishing the round strong while seasoned golfers will enjoy the subtle nuances of the course's tests that come from the elevated greens, strategically placed hazards, and dogleg approaches. You won't encounter any major obstacles but Arlington Ridge is a golf course that will make you think.

Play this excellent course
From the very personable worker in the pro shop to the starters the course was well represented. As for the course the fairways and greens were in EXCELLENT condition. A must to play. We will be back.

Beautiful course. Excellent condition. I could play it every day. Good value.
Great Day to Golf
Just like back home, it was only 62 degrees and the course was quite when we played so round in 2.5 hours with the wife, enjoyed and we love this course when it's not too slow. Christina had the coffee on the caddy wagon so that made my day !

We will be back!!
We like Arlington. We like to play by ourselves but, we were paired with a father/son and we have a good time. There was a 4some in front of us and it took a little extra time. It started out hot and then around the 15th hole it started getting grey clouds so we knew it was going to rain. It drizzled off/on while be finished playing which cooled day the weather - felt great. We go back to Arlington again and again.
Great Playing Conditions
VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE COURSE CONDITION. THEY HAD JUST OVERSEED THE FAIRWAYS A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AND ALREADY IN GREAT SHAPE. THE GREENS WERE SOME OF THE BEST I'VE PUTTED ON IN QUITE SOME TIME. WORTH EVERY PENNY WE PAID.
True golf course amongst "elder" courses
Arlington Ridge presents a true, full length and reasonably challenging golf experience. Most of the other courses local to Leesburg are set up and designed for an "elder" crowd.
This area is quite flat, so there is a lack of interesting terrain here. They have done well with the layout and challenge to make it worthwhile.
Make a tee time on Golf Now as there are rarely "specials" through the club house.
Staff and course
I play at Arlington a lot and this is the first time I had a ranger tell us to speed up and mentioned that we had 5 holes empty in front of us and only hit one ball. The ranger was very short with us ladies which was uncalled for, also, he just came on duty and had no idea that we were the first group to start after a shotgun start had just finished that is why no one was in front of us. Plus we did not start at 12!15 the ranger held us back until 12:30 which this ranger did not know. Lastly, the only time anyone hit another ball was when they had a bad drive and the ball was unplayable. This happened at the most 3 times. I think this ranger should have gotten his facts straight before coming over and being rude. I'm sure the men behind us were complaining but they rode us from the first hole on. Not an enjoyable game of golf.
Very enjoyable day...
My wife and I played the course and had a snack before we played. Food was great, service excellent and course very enjoyable. Good facilities all the way around too. Good atmosphere in the bar afterwards too. All in all very nice day....
Good course!!
Overall it was a good experience with exception of the afternoon guy (don’t know his name) but when he comes in at 1:00 he rides the course 18 through 1 stopping each cart along the way to talking down to the patrons and telling them what they should and shouldn’t be doing on the course, he acts like the patrons are his employees the upper management should tell him to lighten up a little bit he’s driving off business!!
Noted. We will work with him to modify his approach and appreciate your comments!
Challenging course in great condition
Enjoyable round , course in great condition, tricky greens
Fun course
Good course. Vert nice shape. All tee boxes were I good condition. I feel the fairways could have been cut a little shorter to get some roll outta the ball. Otherwise fairways were in good shape. The roughs were cut well and east to play from is you missed the fairway. Greens were in excellent condition and started slow first thing in the morning and got fast as the sun came up. I recommend this course for the money. I will be playing here again.
Had a great round
My wife and I played there today and the course is in absolutely beautiful shape. The practice area is a good area to get ready to play. The greens are the best we’ve played on in a long time and we play a lot of golf.
Beautiful afternoon
A wonderful breezy day, that allowed us to play at a nice tempo on an 88* day.
Peddlers Village of Florida
When I tell my husband we're playing at AR I have to say Peddlers Village - it's a village of shops/restaurants in Pennsylvania - the area where the pro shop/restaurant are reminds us of PV. I like this course, it nice and open, has some challenges but, a great course to play.
I personally looked into the situation involving your group and, at that time, you were on a 5 hour pace to complete your round. If you found our ranger to be rude because he asked you to not play extra balls while out of position on the course, then I do apologize; however, we can't fault him for doing his job. He had his facts correct as your group was out of position. Instead of asking you to skip a hole or two to get back into position, he asked you to not hit extra balls and to please improve your pace of play. If this happens again, we will expect him to do the same.
