About
Miami Springs Golf & Country Club dates back to 1925, making it one of the oldest courses in the area. The club is the original home of the Miami Open and it has hosted many notable players over the years including Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. The golf course has become a local favorite over the years, offering a round that is both challenging and affordable. The golf course has a traditional design with narrow fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are small and subtly undulating. It's a layout that demands accuracy and careful course management will be generously rewarded. You won't find too much water on the golf course but there are some strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Miami Springs Golf & C.C. has some tricky holes but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper.

Opening day
This was the first day the course reopened after a renovation. The green were good but a little slow. Overall the course was in much better shape than before the renovation. A nice improvement to the club house

The course was under renovation and we were not told or warned prior to booking. All of the tees, fairways and greens were left to die and were co.pletely brown. There were tractors on the course running and taking down trees as well as chainsaws, jackhammer, etc. I've quite honestly never seen anything like it in all of my years golfing.

Scorched
They scorched the corse for remodel but this is not known upon booking. Had I known I never would of played here. In addition I think it was still to expensive for a scorched course.

We should have been allowed to play for free
Course will be closed for 6 months for refurbishment
All fairways and greens were burnt and dry no one checking pace of game

some ongoing upgrades
course was very brown due to lack of rain and the time of year coming out of winter. They are in the midst of renovations also. Pace of play was excellent, probably because there weren't that many players.

perfect course to use green colored balls
I thought the course had potential, but the only thing green on the whole course were the trees and the water.
Fairways were straw and greens were sandy dirt. I uhderstand that some course have a true round on their grass but I have never scene a course where there was NO GRASS anywhere.

Closing down
Ther course is closing soon to redo the fairways and make improvements. The course is burnt up fairways and greens. If I would have known this ahead of time I would have picked a different course.

I booked a tee time of this golf course, GolfNow let me booked it, but the golf course is about to close down for remodeling, the green was burnout, playable but not great. .
