Forest Oaks Golf Club
About
Forest Oaks Golf Club in Lake Worth is a public course that is still one of south Florida's best-kept secrets despite having good conditions and affordable rates. The golf course offers an enjoyable round that is challenging but playable. Opened in the 1970s, it has a classic layout that showcases what Florida golf courses are known for. It is a tight layout that requires a fair amount of accuracy but beginners won't feel too out of their league. The layout offers an excellent transition from an executive course. It measures less than 6,000 yards, offering a quick and enjoyable round for more advanced players. Forest Oaks G.C. offers the quality and conditions of a country club course but the friendly and casual atmosphere of a public facility.

Friendly place
This is a great place to go and relax with 18 holes. It is casual and the staff are all super friendly. Undiscovered this place by accideand keep going back. My friends feel the same way.
Friendly casual people
We played on a Tuesday in August so it was pretty empty. The curse was in decent shape. It was a rainy day so things were a bit odd with probably a smaller crowd than usual. The course and facilities may be a little dated in 2021 but the staff were super friendly and everyone was casual. Bunch of old timers hanging out in the clubhouse- cool. Golf carts were brand new and very nice. I will be back and recommend to others.
Rude golfers, back 9 was like a swamp
Other golfers playing through without asking and driving through the fairway while we were teeing off. Back 9 was like a swamp, mosquitos and Iguanas. Greens werent great either. Would not return
easy peasy
good for practice, partyicularly if you want to work on swings and chips...not very difficult and could be in better shape but I enjoyed the round...
On Vacation
On vacation so played this course on a Saturday for 36.99 per person. Public course, gas carts, tight fairways at times with ravines on either side. Unattractive housing along course on either side. Putting greens were surprisingly in great shape and traps not too bad. Cart paths and fairways leave much too be desired. Staff super friendly. We had a couple of people let us play through so 2-1/2 hours for my husband and myself.
Fun Course, Decent Shape, lots of Water
Enjoyed playing here and they gave me a free set of rental clubs too. Not great rental clubs though. The course has a lot of water, lost plenty of balls. Needs to be in better shape. But great price.
Not my favorite but good to work on your irons and 3 woods.
