Golfer Reviews
Outstanding Golf Course - Great Value
I had the pleasure of playing Forest Glen Golf Course recently and was so impressed with the course layout, conditions and playability, we are booking the course again very soon. From the minute you arrive, the staff are friendly and welcoming, made me feel like a member, even though I’m not. The price to play this private course was was very reasonable and our round was less than four hours. As for the course, conditions were excellent!!! The greens were lightly sanded, typical for this time of year. Putts rolled smoothly and with a quick pace (love fast greens). The layout is with mostly generous driving areas. The back nine had several hole that were rather short and required precision shots, but generous landing areas.
To improve the experience, I would only ask that the Club provide a course layout map. There was no layout on the card, so you had a few blind tee shots! Not a huge deal if you simply aimed at the 150 yard market (post). It was boiling hot when I played, so it was nice to see plenty of water stations around the course. No beverage cart available, so load up when you can and stay hydrated!
Over, one of the best courses for the value in the south Naples-Marco Island area.
If you book a round at Forest Glen, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!
FYI: 10-handicap playing off the Forest (green) tees: 69.5/121 at 5,944 yds.
Try the “back Hybrid” tees at 6,215 70.3/135.
Beautiful Course
Got a hot deal, glad I took advantage of it. Course is in great condition, greens excellent. Would defiantly play again! Only thing negative I could even think is, the Bar is a little expensive. Otherwise, 5 stars!
Top conditions!
Could not play the backnine because of heavy rains coming up after 9th hole. But nevertheless it was worth it. Teeboxes, fairways and especially the greens absolutlely perrfect. Excited to see the whole course. Friendly staff. Will play there again.
Fabulous condition!
The greens and tea boxes of Forest Glen are always in fantastic condition, even in summer. Compared to other local courses the conditions are very good. The layout is interesting, with plenty of challenge, although you probably wouldn’t want to get your driver out too much!
best conditioned course
this is by far the best conditioned course i have ever played. I don't know how they keep it so perfect especially the tee boxes and greens. this course was a joy to play!
Great course if you like target golf
I really enjoyed it, but for those that feel the need to hit driver on all the par fours and fives it’s not for you.
Amazing Course
Amazing course. Great layout. Lots of fun. Perfectly maintained. Greens were true and fast. Traps were nice. Only in once. Definitely will play again.
One of/if not the nicest summer course!!
I saw the noon deal for Saturday on Friday and signed up to play. Free range balls, great short range and putting greens!!!.Staff was super friendly and helpful. I have played 10 private courses in the past 2 weeks and most courses around in the past few years. This is one of the best courses in Naples hands down. Everything was well manicured and the the greens were quick, which isn’t a Naples norm. I would put this course and Grey Oaks/Estuary in the same class, which is saying a lot!
If you find a tee time here, GO!! You will be super happy you did!!!
Beautiful course
I really enjoyed everything about forest glen. The fairways and greens were in perfect condition. Truly a first class operation.
Nice people and course
If they offered a full membership to non residents I would join
Very nice starter
The starter was excellent in trying to accommodate me as a single, matching me up with a group. Very good. Course improving rapidly from aeration. Tee boxes and fairways immaculate.
Beautiful course
Beautiful course that is extremely challenging. Definitely worth playing. But keep in mind that you won't be able to get food after 3pm, and I mean 3pm,not 3:02 ! Pro shop doesn't even have a snikers bar and didn't see any food cart all day. No supplied coolers on carts. But the course is worthy of playing again.
