Great time
It was the day after the big storms. course was in great shape, Cartpath only for golf carts. My partner was very friendly and helpful to me, gave me many tips on my game and how to improve. Weather was good, had a great day and shot well.
Great track
Enjoy the layout with generously wide fairways. The greens and bunkers are where the difficulty comes into play.
Sarasota National
Love playing this course, practice facilities are excellent, driving range, chipping range, putting course all free with your golf free. Course is in excellent condition , greens are AAA rated. Staff is friendly, clubhouse has great food and beer reasonable. It is definetly a challenge but fairways are wide and grass is cut low. One of my favorites. Try it , you won't be disappointed.
Best in the Region
I played several courses in the Port Charlotte / Venice region whilst on vacation in July '17, this was easily the best.
Facilities were good, course was lovely and in good condition despite recent heavy storms. Distance between green & tee would make walking difficult
Would have played again if I'd had more time.
Impressed
Well maintained with excellent greens. A good challenge. Throw in some holes that make you either hold up or go for it add up to a fun round

Sara Nat is as usual "A fun course to play" with its fairway friendly open spaces...

Beautiful!
I played here after 4 days of rain so I expected "cart path only" To be implemented and it was... course was wide and long so I got my exercise but it was a great day of golf. Beautiful fairways, convenient restrooms and ice/ water stations, free driving range, nice folks and overall beautiful facility.
Good day on the course
The pro in the shop was friendly and helpful. The course was in good condition and especially with the lack of rain. I was paired with two nice guys and we played in four hours....all the things you hope for as a single.
Absolutely Flawless
One of my favorite courses in Florida. Always in pristine condition. Great tee boxes, weed free lush fairways, and manicured greens. Yardages on sprinkler heads. Great driving range .... Putting green ... and chipping spot.
Super course
What an enjoyable golf course to play, lots of challenges to a golfer at any level.
Course was in excellent shape. Greens very fast and receptive to shots. Staff very kind. Went as a single and played with a couple friendly frequent players that were very helpful. Definitely will play again when I'm in town.
A Must Play
Apparently this course has had some problems over the years, particularly with the 2008 market downturn. It is now coming to life after recently being managed by Troon Golf. This is a beautiful course with wide fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Some holes wind gracefully around the water requiring good shot strategy. Played this with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed the day along with a couple of nice guys. Something tells me when the homes get nearer completion and tee times are more rare, this will become a private course. If you can play it now at a reasonable rate, you be happy you did while you had the opportunity.
