Sarasota National Golf Club

Course was great to play, excellent condition. The only issue was pace of play which was quite slow. Needed ranger out to speed things up.

I really enjoy this course because of the great greens. The course is in good condition even with the heavy seasonal play. Course has a nice driving range and practice that is included in your round. One of my favorite places to play in Venice.

Horribly atrocious pace of play, haven't seen a Ranger in 9 holes, five hole space four groups ahead of us. Please be advised unless you like ridiculously slow play don't play here, not even worth the afternoon discount, we got 9 holes in just over 3 hours. I thought the Troon courses were better than this.

I really enjoy this course. I have played it 3 times and try to go back every time I'm in the area. There is some really nice variation in the layout of the holes, a lot of different looks, challenging approach shots and it is very well maintained. The greens are big and can be tough to read, but they roll consistently. It may be slightly over priced for the area (I paid $95), something closer to $80 feels more reasonable, but its not really a complaint.

This time I played on a windy day and you really feel it across the course. Maybe the last 3 holes on the back 9 seem to be protected a bit more from the wind, but it is tough everywhere else. The wind I played in was playing about 2 clubs different on every shot; I could imagine a very windy day not being very enjoyable.

I would recommend the course. It is one of the best in the area. The pro shop is nothing to write home about, but for me its about the course.

Beautiful course, friendly staff and pretty good pace of play. Greens are very well kept, as are the fairways. Good variety of tee choices to allow people to pick on that fits their game. Will return for more!!

Construction going on. Too far between T blocks. Not a great driving range. Hitting in water.

Fairway huge.

Wide fairways. Pin placements coupled with undulating greens make for challenging putting. Lady friendly. Quick service at the turn makes it easy.

Course wasn't terrible. Too many times I found my ball I a rut on this course. Paid $95.00 to play. Felt the layout fell short and the actual price should have been more in line with a $50-$65.00 round.

I wouldn't play it again if I had to pay $95.00.

Our foursome agreed that it was a most enjoyable course. Had 5 different tees depending on your level of play. It was not the typical flat Florida course. While there was a fair amount of water, it was not ridiculous and it made the course interesting rather than terrifying.

Great layout, too windy due to wide open layout & slow play never addressed by the ranger.

We play this course annually in February and will only do so if/when there is a discounted rate available.

Always a must play when in the area. Course condition was excellent even though it gets lots of play. Round can be slow(over 4 hours). Fairways are wide, some water comes into play on some holes. Greens are fast and true. Fun course. Give it a try.

Great layout in a prestine environment...open fairways makes this course playable for any skill level...super, I mean lightning fast greens takes this course a notch higher in difficulty...beautiful landscaped layout with an abundance of wildlife and stillness...scored an amazing deal on golf now and had no idea I was playing a championship, gated community style course...well worth the time and money invested...highly recommend
