All around great course. Very well maintained. Starter apologized for course condition, some rough was dry? I think he was joking :<) Overall course was in excellent condition. Best in area. Greens fairly fast, I'd guess 8-9. Fairways beautiful, some elevation changes, rare in FL. Not a lot but enough to overcome the bland flat layout a lot of FL courses have. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Kept things moving without being pushy. Just an overall great experience on a well maintained course. Would highly recommend as a must play.

First time playing this course and enjoyed my round. Got a great deal on golfnow.com. Pretty windy the day we played but fairways were generous. Tough greens. Would definitely recommend this course.

it's a challenging course, but not ridiculously difficult. The greens were the most challenging but really fun.

Superb conditions again. The only complaint about the day is that the shock top pitcher was half foam, half beer. I know your game!! Great course made challenging by the wind. Playing again next week.

Everything here is above average other then the cart paths but who cares about that. Great layout with some spectacular views off of a few tees. Not overly challenging in length but you need to make a good second shot to make sure your not left with some overly difficult putts. Will be back as this is in my top three favorites here in southwest florida

A well managed Troon facility in the middle of a large and growing community. Not unusual to get caught with a double or even a triple on a hole where you thought you were hitting the ball well. Given the local demographic of mostly seniors, we expected the forward tees to subtract more distance than they did. Construction all around makes for some muddy cart paths and alternative routes. Allow some extra time because golf cars are not permitted in the parking lot.

Always my first choice of courses to play! The greens will definitely test your putting skills. The entire staff is by far the friendliest around.

Course was great. One of the best public courses in the Sarasota/Venice/North Port areas for sure. It was in great shape for late summer and the greens rolled great too. The layout is fun, open off the tee but plenty challenging. Strategically placed bunkers off the tee make it not as wide open as it may appear at first glance.

Service and food in 19th hole was excellent.

Guys in pro shop weren't the warmest but that really didn't matter. The starter, Rangers and bag guys are all a bunch of retired guys and they do a great job.

Great overall experience. We will be back.

All in all it was a great experience. The tees, fairways and greens were in fantastic shape. The next time I get to play this course again I will come back and play. Thank you Sarasota National for your hospitality.

The course is in great shape. Greens while showing the summer sanding are rolling true and hold nicely. Holes offer a challenge but reward good shot. Enjoyed the 19th hole with great food and good price. The entire staff was so helpful but not overbearing.

This course has always in in great condition. Wide fairways and multiple tees allow you to pick your challenge. Pace of play a little slow, but very enjoyable round! Will return.

Well maintained course and friendly staff. Liked it so much that we decided to play it again a few days later rather than try another course. Great deal on Friday for the skins game ($30 for the round + $10 into the skins pot).

Always in nice shape. Greens were punched and dressed pretty well. Pace of play, needs a little more marshaling .

It was my first playing the golf course and I really liked it. The course was in great shape and it has very challenging greens.

The course is in great shape as all Trune golf courses are. These greens will make for a true test of your short game.

Because of several days of rain, we were required to keep the carts on the path. For the life of me, our group couldn't hit anything near a cart path.

Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in spectacular condition. Other than the greens being very challenging (nothing would hold), they were in great shape.

Pulled into bag drop area, cart guy asked me what my tee time was. I told him 2:46. He looked at me and said "we don't have that tee time." Instead of searching tee time on either side, he told me to try again. I looked up email on my phone and said it was 2:43. He said I don't have you registered. I asked him to look again as we made the tee time that morning. He looked again and said "nope, don't have you down and you're here awfully early aren't you?" Didn't feel I needed to explain to him my arriving an hour early to eat lunch and hit a few balls. He picked up my bag to place it on the cart and said "this bag is heavy, are you trying to sneak beer on the course?" We went inside where two pleasant guys had our tee time and told us the cart guys don't always write down new tee times. On the range, my playing partner and I heard several golfers complaining about slow play. After we started playing, we saw a ranger on third hole and never saw him again. When we returned our cart at the end of the evening, Mr. Personality was the only cart guy working. He asked my playing partner how the round went and he said it was excruciatingly slow and we didn't see anyone enforcing pace of play for 15 holes, he responded "oh that's not true!" I am a retired Four Season Hotel executive and I'd like to remind ownership that no matter how nice your course is, one bad apple can ruin an entire experience.
