One of the areas best courses. Great day was had by all. Wonderful shape.

Played in just under 4 hours after reading slow play reviews ? Pace was fine at an 8 a. m . Tee off. Generous landing areas off the tee with a premium on approach shot positioning on the fairly hilly greens. A fair test of golf on a well maintained course with nice practice / warm up area. Would play here anytime at the hot deal rate $50 USD.

Wanted to try this course. Found it to be a decent challenge and well maintained (as you'd expect from a Troon Course).
It's still fairly new and although the course itself is in good condition, the fringes still need to mature and there will ne a lot of building work around it for years to come.

This is my favorite course in Venice. We play primarily in the summer when rates are reasonable. Gets pricy in Season Depending on the tees you play, it is as difficult as you want to make it.
The greens are fairly big and undulating and can be very quick. If you haven't played here before you wont put well. Fairways were very nice last time we played. Even with new home construction, I find plenty of bail out area
for wayward shots.
I have taken lessons here and was satisfied

Greens were fast........and took a while to feel comfortable standing over a putt. Greens were large and wide fairways made this one a favorite to play.

X very slow need a Marshall. No washroom available at the end of round

This is my favorite course in this area. The course is in great shape. Friendly course off the tee and tricky around the greens. Greens are fast, smooth and true. I was surprised that the pace was slow. Almost 5 hours. And no ranger to be found. Otherwise I will back over and over.

If you are a 4-ball you can not play out efter 2pm as you can run in to very slow players and there are no staff on the course to speed up slow play. We came in after sunset, not too good. the course is in a good condition and easy to play for all players.

I love playing Sarasota National and have played the course several times. I enjoy the greens and the wide fairways. Unfortunately, the day that my friend and I played was carts only due to recent heavy rains. Also, we had two very slow groups in front of us and it would have been helpful for the ranger to tell them to pick up their pace of play. Finally, there's a lot of construction around the course

Very nice people and well maintained course. There were a few holes where local knowledge would have been helpful from the tee. Greens rolled very true with some grain and were quite challenging with the slopes and placements. We will play here again!

I would have loved to ply but the Course was closed due to excessive rain, typical of Florida this year

I played with my son on a fairly calm day and had a good score for me (100) from the silver tees. My son is a low handicapper and shot 74 from the gold tees. Our scores go up if the wind is blowing but still very enjoyable. It can be very tough from the tips as for example, one of the par 5's is 648 yards. The staff is great and amenities are good and will get better when the new clubhouse is complete.

Wide forgiving fairways but approach shots are a challenge for less than a straight or control golfer. Really enjoyed this tract.

I have played National quite a few times and found the staff very friendly. The layout is challenging without being overtly penal. Hit a good shot and you get rewarded, miss badly and it's not good. The greens are usually perfect, however this time they were punch fairly recently and putting was an adventure. Play National. You will not be dissapointed!

Greens recently aerified. Nice course overall. Floater range balls included.

Wait a month until the greens grow in.

I got this on Golf Now's hot deals and couldn't pass up the price. The course was in great condition especially given all the recent rain. The only negatives were the 90 degree rule and the lack of any beverages and food on the course and not many options in the club house either.
