Fantastic!
Great course but greens are tough--hilly, fast, very discouraging. Course in good shape. Course was crowded, but we got around in 4 hours and 15 min. Several groups only played n in ne, so it was a little faster on the back. Back nine is harder than the front.
Range is nice practice green needed some help
The course was excellent but Mother Nature was not with us all day . We had 25 to 30 mile an hour winds all day on the front nine 7 holes were in the wind it wasn’t fun at all my brother was down from Pittsburgh we had a tough time. We even played from the ladies tees not funny we are in are mid 60 s and play fairly well. Went to back which use to be front played a few holes then it got cool and dark

A Favorite
It used to be this course was so much more expensive then all the other course around. Others have raised their prices now. The only problem is getting a tee time. It is a popular place but they regulate play so you are not playing hit and wait golf. Love it!!!
Green big, lots of water and bunkers but, all in great shape.
Good layout
This course has a good layout. Several tee boxes to accommodate all levels of golfers. Generous landing areas off the tee with well bunkered greens. Water can be an issue with wayward tee shots & approach shots. The speed of the greens was good. The greens have significant undulation and a couple of the pin placements were questionable. Alligators everywhere.
Great Day at Sarasota National
This was my 3rd time playing the course over the years. I was paired up with 3 others that were really fun to play with. The course was in great condition and there was very little wind, which I gather doesn’t happen too often there. It really couldn’t have been a nicer day of golf (although I could have played better)!
Very enjoyable round of golf, as usual
Based on this round, Sarasota National members only play 9 holes after 1 pm. Front 9 with members was 2 hours & 15 minutes. Back 9 saw worker filling divots on hole 10 & 5- some on 12 that let me play through. Back 9 took - 1 1/2 hours. Cool & windy conditions could be a factor, as well.

best course that we played in Jan. 2020, in the Venice, Florida, area. Great-looking pro shop.
Well run. well organized. All the courses we played showed distress due to winter dryness.
Great Course
Great course design and very well maintained. Awesome practice area. Wide fairways and big plush greens. Thus course is massive! The cart drive just between holes is a haul. We had a lot of fun and it’s definitely one of the nicer courses we’ve played in the SRQ.

The Golf Course and the Weather were perfect. Had a great round with some frllow Snowbirds.
Solid Golf course
This has always been a good track and it continues to be better as it continues to mature. A bargain all day with new carts, driving range included, a well equipped pro shop, friendly staff and a truly great layout with big fairways, big and true greens, clean tee boxes and sand traps. Rewarding and doesn't punish well hit shots here like many other “tricked up” courses do. Worth the drive guaranteed.
Course was in great condition, starters and pace of play staff were very friendly and welcoming. Kitchen staff gave us food 40 minutes before they were open.
Pace of play was great for our twosome. Fun challenging greens and some fun approach shots. Would highly recommend.
