Excellent Golfing Experience
Excellent golf course with generous fairways, and the greens were fantastic! Highly recommend this course anytime you're in the Sarasota/Venice area.
Course Closed
The course was closed due to tropical storm and I received no notice from either the course or GOLF NOW!!
Poor service from Golf Now.

Return to Sarasota National
Sarasota National is a great course. I used to play here when the course was first built and there were No Homes on the course. Well, that has changed. Even with the addition of the Homes and Condos, The course is wide and open and was in great shape.
Staff is fantastic.
We will be there again soon

Best greens of all the courses I have played.
I like this course a lot, mainly because the greens are cut down and running fast. I always rate a course on the condition of the greens and these were in great shape.
You did not have to hit your putt very hard because of the speed of the greens. The greens have a lot of undulation in them also, but not so they are impossible to make good putts on.
Enough about the greens, I found the course to be in very good shape and the people who work there very nice. The layout was nice and the landscaping was good.
Worth the trip
Greens were fast and true. Fairways are wide and the course is fun to play.

Slow Play
Course browning up. Greens were slow too. Guess summer conditions but still best course in area.
4.45 hours for 18. The front 9 took 1.50 hrs. We had to wait on every hole too for the slow group in front even though we were ahead of time. The back 9 took over 2.45 hrs. The international german players in front on the back started to slow up and play approx 10 shots each. They were putting like they were at miniature golf. We watch each player take approx 3-6 shots per green. Just mind boggling. They did not have any groups in front of them for 3 holes either. So frustrating!!!!
Great Condition
One of the best conditioned courses in the area, challenging and fair.
Dry—er
Course sheds water great. Driest course around for the rain we have been hit with the past weeks. Pace was fast overall, but still stacked up on most holes
Not too penalizing
Tee boxes were in great shape. Fairways were nice. Rough was kinda harsh, as ball would be just a yard or two off fairway, but disappear into the rough. The fairways are very wide and friendly.
The greens were great, even though recently punched, they still rolled nice..
Greens are also pretty large.
Overall, the only thing that would've been welcomed was some quick tips for reach hole (ie dog leg is how much, etc).
Only a couple errant shots which I would attribute to just not knowing a particular bit of detail on the layout.
Will definitely go again.
