Sarasota National Golf Club

I played this coarse during the end of April and took advantage of their summer rates, which were half price. It was my first time golfing this season so I played the silvers which are about 6100 yards. I had a wonderful round. The pace was a little slow. At half price this was excellent value. However, one thing I did not know from reading the reviews was that this coarse sits on an open area is known for being “exceptionally windy.” If you don’t like playing in the wind, I would not recommend.

Nice course Layout good greens were speedy. Only draw back other than the starters attitude was that there are no maps or course guidance even on the score card. Didn’t have a clue on hole shapes or possibly cares from the tee boxes. Sucks when you hit Into a hazard because there is no course guide

Great track with fast greens.

Worth the money for sure.

Play the right tees esp if it’s windy.

Course is in good shape. Get a yardage book for first timers or play with someone who’s played before. Pretty open but have to hit accurate shots all around.

This course was very challenging, but in top condition...The putting greens were never flat, always laid up or down. It could use a bit more direction to some holes...more signs.

Best kept course in the county. Generous, yet challenging fair ways. Greens true yet challenging. Our entire foursome agrees. Best course of the entire winter for us.

Picturesque course, well maintained, tee to green challenging but fair.

Greens with undulations, severe slopes and nightmare pin positions made putting almost impossible.

The course layout felt very disjointed big distances between holes, but that’s because there’s a great deal of building going on around it.

a very fun course to play, played on a very very windy day, so there were tough streches, hole 7 through 14 were all into the wind. But the payout is quite fun with wide enough fairways to make it playable, the greens are very fast but true and playable.

Sarasota Nat'l is a great golf course with tough greens (very fast and lot of slope). Too bad the course will probably be PRIVATE by this time next year. Overall condition was great (fairways, greens, rough) with really wide fairways and tough greens. Great test and a lot of fun.

If you enjoy a 4 hr 50 min round, come play this course. The day was nice but the pace of play was not! The ranger drove around and said hello to the golfers but avoided any discussion about speeding up play. The course layout is average with some interesting holes and many that are not. The conditions were disappointing and the greens were heavily sanded that day making putting very difficult. One and done.
