1st Time Player
Over all I enjoyed my round, but some of the holes from the blue tees were just not fun. Trying to hit into a head wind made it extremely difficult to carry a few of the waste areas off the tee box. The only other option would have been playing the whites, but that would have made the course to short to enjoy except those few holes.
Unexpected tee time problem
Had a 10:15 AM tee time, but when we got to the course they had a tournament going through. Originally told that there were six groups ahead of us which would’ve delayed our tee time considerably, but they finally relented and let us go off the back. They shouldn’t plan tournaments and then allow originally scheduled teetimes to show still available. Show a little respect for your customers!
Nice course and good food!
The course was in really good shape, just a couple greens still need minor work that are currently being worked on. The others were in excellent shape and pretty fast and true. Fairways were nicely trimmed and wide so no worries there. Overall course was a bit challenging at times, especially the doglegs, but lots of fun. Omari's food was very good and staff was very friendly, attentive, and had a good sense of humor. Especially the newbie that just had started 3 days before!!! I'll be back again for sure.

Lexington Oaks is always a fun course, only 5000 yds from the Gold tees....greens were in perfect shape, nice wide fairways with not too much water ( off the tee )...yet still challenging....my only criticism would be never again to play on a holiday....my buddy and I took nearly 5 hours to play today.....

Potential
Course wasn’t in best shape I have seen it. Love the layout and typically the pace of play. A little improvement on the boxes and some pace on the greens would go a long way.

What happened?
I've played this course at least a dozen times and it is usually in decent shape. This past time it was in very poor shape. I called on Friday to ask if they are aerating the greens and the guys said "i don't think so", when we showed up they had aerated 6 greens...not a good start. Most of the greens were very poor, the tees hadn't been mowed and the fairways were very bare. Very disappointing, i hope they can get it back together because the layout is great.
One of the best courses that I’ve played on this year fantastic shape people were friendly will definitely play there again when I get back to Florida in October my buddy and I loved the course
