No carts
We had a 1:00p.m time. We didn’t get off until 1:30 because there were no carts available. Then we waited every hole. Just. A long day'”
Good round
Played the course 2 weeks ago the greens in much better shape the tees look great and so do the fairways
What happened to the greens?
Played here about 3 weeks ago and the greens were nice except for #11. Today they were slow and shaggy. Several had bad spots, starting with hole #1. The course is usually pretty good value, but greens are currently not great.
good day
interesting course greenes in great shape, green 11 under repair
WHAT HAPPENED????
First visit to Lexington this year, last one too! Course was super last year, greens were fast and tee boxes were green and lush and fairways had some grass to hit off! Just the opposite now, half the greens in repair mode, tee boxes dry and sparse and the cups look like they haven't been moved in days! Pro shop was friendly and Mike, the starter, was very accommodating but paying any more than 20 bucks to use this facility to practice on is too much!!!!
slowest course
I will not be returning to Lexington Oaks. The front nine played about 2 hours. The back nine was ridiculously slow. It looked like the starter was sending players to the back nine and not considering how much it affected the people who had already played the front. At one point we had 5 groups waiting at the tenth tee. Finally had to leave after the 12th hole. We could not stand the delays.
Could be great but
Course could be great but greens in horrible condition (11 green especially) bathroom doors locked.Very wet in spots from over watering.Ring cut around the greens that make the ball jump.Needs new rakes in traps.Golf carts tires are bare and need air.Course needs a lot of work and it could be a great course.
Very Nice except for maintenance
The pace of play was fantastic and and e course was in goo d condition,=. The only problem was the rude and inconsiderate maintenance guys who refused to move the buckets on the green or move their vehicles off the gack of the green on hole number 2. If the course had closed number two that wold have been okay but the maintenance guys did nothing. but ignore us
All great except maintenance
A perfect day to play golf at Lexington Oaks except for for the maintenance people. The pace of play was fantastic, the course was in good condition as the fairways were rolling. The greens were in good condition. The only bad thing was that maintenance people on hole number two refused to move their maintenance vehicle off of. the back of the green and refused to move toe buckets from the green so we had to pass that hole up. Not understanding why the club house did not coordinate and close the hold until theyr were finish.
Playable
Course is very playable with a couple difficult doglegs. Greens were in excellent shape .
The Paper Chase
Lexington Oaks continues to prove to be a value for the money. However, potentially exposing players to COVID-19 by forcing them to pair up a cart, or pay another $15 on top of the nearly $50 it costs to play, may force many to take their $65 to a course that cares about public health and doesn’t pack what amounts to a friendly and challenging track.
Holes 7, 10,13, 14, 17. & 18 will be missed if Lexington Oaks management and staff doesn’t find a way to be more personable and customer service oriented.
