About
The Golf Club at South Hampton was designed to give every golfer appropriate risk-and-reward opportunities that supply both encouragement to beginners and challenges for more advanced players. The slope and contour of the course’s landscape is its trademark with strategic mounding and over 60 contoured bunkers that emphasize the terrain’s natural undulations. The course features rolling fairways and massive greens. There are also sixteen large lakes that come into play throughout. The signature hole is the tremendous par-5, 17th, which is a scenic hole that features a lake, fairway bunkers, and a breaking green. Although the course is a challenge, there are six sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

OWNERS NEED TO WAKE UP!
Divots everywhere. Pock marked greens. Barren sand traps with very few rakes. Improperly plugged old holes. ….. and they want $70 on a weekday morning? Do yourself a favor and play CIMARRONE right across CR210 for $55. The greens are a bit slow but at least they roll straight and true. They have brand new carts with GPS, they have sand in all of their traps and they do not collect water when it rains. They even have rakes for their traps. Cimarrone is maintained much better overall!
Nice course
This was a good course well maintained. Unfortunately, there were no senior tees, so we used the white tee's. This required three strokes to get to the greens (I am 78) but in spite of the challenge, it was a fun day of golf. Of Course 15 - 20 mph winds were fun, but I like to use it as an excuse. I would recommend it as a good day of golf for the price in St. Augusting.
Putting greems are roughed up
Al in all was a great experience, pace of play was as always very slow, the 10' between groups definitely does never work here, I haven't been able to finish a round before 5 hours, always stuck behind of a couple 4 some. The greens were very bad for this course, the rest of the course was great.
Very good course
It is the second time I play it and I found it very good. It has a good quality for money
Back in shape!
The maintenance crew has been busting their butts and has South Hampton back looking great. Green’s were receptive and fast, fairways were great and tee boxes had great over-seed. Highly recommend this course.
Good track
Fairways are thin and dormant, greens are bare in some areas. Pace was good on front, but a group jumped ahead of us on the back while at the turn. The starter did nothing about it.
Back nine is challenging and fun to play. Green fees are reasonable. I’ll be back.
Huge improvement of the greens and overall layout I would recommend this to anyone amazing recovery from a couple of months ago.
Great course terrible sand traps
Greens were fast and hard mostly in good shape..
Traps as always lack sand which hurts on deep bunkers
