Golf Club At South Hampton

Fun playable layout. Weather was supposed to storm so breezed through round in 3 hours.

Course is fairly challenging.

Spend a little more and play STILLWATER just 1 mile further West or pay much less and play CIMARRONE right across the street. Either one of those is a much, much better value for your money. Stillwater is a Bobby Weed design. It is pristine, Cimarrone is a very, very challenging layout in very good condition.

Played with a friend. Course was beautiful with challenging holes.

This is a $55 course,, AT BEST! There is nothing “EXCELLENT” “about it. The greens have bare spots. And the greenskeeper has no clue as to how to properly replace cups. Very few rakes in the sand traps and half of those are broken. Nobody replaces their divots or fixes their ball marks at this golf course. The driving range is a cow pasture. Spend a little more money and play Stillwater a mile further west on County Road 210 or less and play Cimarrone right across from South Hampton at the stoplight. Much better values for your money!

Are there still clumps of grass around the tees and greens? Are half of the rakes still broken if there’s one in the trap at all? Are the sand traps still very inconsistent? The greens have been in bad shape for at least the last two years. I stopped playing there in October I will never go back! St. John’s golf and country club and Cimarron are much better golf courses and much better value for your money. Stillwater is the best of them all. It is the best course in St. John’s County !

… to charge anybody $80 to play this course on a weekend or $70 during the week. Any of the other courses on County Road 210 are in much better condition and are actually worth the green fees that are charged, unlike here. IMHO.

$70 should at least get sand and rakes for the traps. And level tee boxes

Divots everywhere. Pock marked greens. Barren sand traps with very few rakes. Improperly plugged old holes. ….. and they want $70 on a weekday morning? Do yourself a favor and play CIMARRONE right across CR210 for $55. The greens are a bit slow but at least they roll straight and true. They have brand new carts with GPS, they have sand in all of their traps and they do not collect water when it rains. They even have rakes for their traps. Cimarrone is maintained much better overall!
