About
The Golf Club at South Hampton was designed to give every golfer appropriate risk-and-reward opportunities that supply both encouragement to beginners and challenges for more advanced players. The slope and contour of the course’s landscape is its trademark with strategic mounding and over 60 contoured bunkers that emphasize the terrain’s natural undulations. The course features rolling fairways and massive greens. There are also sixteen large lakes that come into play throughout. The signature hole is the tremendous par-5, 17th, which is a scenic hole that features a lake, fairway bunkers, and a breaking green. Although the course is a challenge, there are six sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Of the 4 courses on CR 210, SoutHampton would be my last choice to play because of the habitual poor conditions of the sand traps and the greens
Almost completely back in shape
SH is pretty much back. Greens were fast and in nice shape. A few little tweaks here and there and SH will be completely back.
Goodbye, South Hampton
I like my foursome. I have been playing there twice a week for two years. But I am tired of the greens that are unputtable and you never know where the ball is going. I am tired of clay, sand traps, some of which have rakes, but half of those are broken. I am tired of goose grass around the greens and on the tees.. I am tired of herbicides being sprayed while play is going on. The two owners do not seem to care. I hear they are members at Ponte Vedra Inn in Club, and spend all of their time there drinking foo foo drinks. It’s a great layout, but it is not maintained very well at all. It has been like this for over a year.
I forgot to mention the washout ditches beside number 2 and 9 greens that have been allowed to overgrow with grasses without filling in the ditches. If some one mistakenly steps on that grass they are likely to break a leg. To me this is negligence and could result in a lawsuit! IS ANYBODY LISTENING???
Slow play, punched greens
Course was good. Punched greens were bad. Slowest play ever. No marshal to manage. Three groups waiting on 14th tee.
Greens are much better now
The greens are much better now and nor as sandy...
the greens were aeriated on 8/7 and 8/8. They are STILL in terrible shape as of today, 8/30!
How can they be better when they just aireated August 7th & 8th???? Sounds like a BOGUS review.
South Hampton
Staff was great - that is ALWAYS the case at South Hampton - We were the first ones out so the pace of play was excellent. The greens, which were recently punched were in bad (not brutal) shape. It would have been nice knowing the conditions of the greens before we played but that seems to be the new normal here in Florida. I WOULD recommend this place once the greens get back to where they should be.
Great Design
Amazing layout and fun. The heat has the greens in bad shape but everything else was in good shape. If you like being able to hit big on all the holes, definitely the course to play.

Sandy Greens
As much as I enjoy this course...I understand aeration and the need for it...You should tell customers how sandy the greens are and reduce tve price....Impossible to putt on...

Course in great condition...fairways to greens in great shape even with all this heat.
What happened to SH?
I’m not sure what has happened in the recent months but this course seems to be progressively going downhill. Tall weeds scattered throughout fairways and around greens, practice area was straight dirt and the greens themselves are in terrible condition. Check in staff is hit or miss, some are friendly others act as though they are being forced to stand there and do their job. Also seems odd they charge nearly $15 more to pay in person compared to paying through Golf Now.

Great course and friendly people, only complaint is the greens were a bit sandy and dead.
