Golf Club At South Hampton

Course was in great shape. Played a little slow as we had to wait on the tee box for most holes (the 2’som behind us were not as patient and hit into us some) but overall a great day of golf

Been playing SH for years and will continue, great course. The past few weeks, however, the first five greens are a bit sandy. They’ll come back, still a great time.

I hesitated to rate the course at four but I am partial to the course. I love to play it. It’s actually better than a four but the condition of the greens realistically puts it in the threes. There are way too many former pin placements. Many plugs replaced below top of greens or above top of greens. No true role. The plugs are too close together. Putting is half the game

Great course normally, but conditions on the greens were the worst I’ve see from this course. Sandy bare spots, prior hole locations were not leveled making it nearly impossible to putt. Driving range has no grass .For what is charged for a round, you would be better off playing elsewhere.

I played yesterday and quit after 9, that’s how bad the greens were. Charging full price for greens that are a $20 muni is unacceptable. I was told they were bad, but how bad could they be? Even worse than I thought. I cannot recommend this course to anyone for a price over $20

South Hampton usually has great fast greens. They are in bad shape currently. Patchy and slow. They are working on them, so there is sand patches in the troubled areas. Hopefully they get them back in shape soon. Can’t recommend spending $84 dollars to play there currently.

Good layout, well maintained , fun to play . One of the best courses in St. Augustine.

I play this course at least twice a month and the greens aren’t in the shape they were a few weeks ago.

staff was very friendly and helpful. play was heavy but moved quickly. some greens need a rest / repair. I will definetly play again soon

I will definitely recommend this course for everyone, however, you have to have laser accuracy off the Tee Box and during your approach.

Not much water hazards, but there are sand bunkers everywhere from the middle of the fairway to around the greens; and the course is a bit narrow. Each shot has to be properly placed off the tee and on the green.

The course is in great shape. The greens were treated with sand, but they were rolling at about 13 and they rolled true.

Definitely going back.

Some of the greens and the tees are in pretty poor shape. Pace of play was poor and there were no rangers on the course at any time. It took 5 hours to play the round .

The course it self was pretty decent, the greens looked okay. The driving range to warm up was un usable… and the balls they give you are from the 90s. Their practice green was ok but could use quite a bit of work.

Greens can be in better form but overall course is outstanding!

Greens look like they are being played 24 hours a day! Charge $15 for a bucket of range balls only to see there is no grass to hit from! Will be playing elsewhere!
