About
The Golf Club at South Hampton was designed to give every golfer appropriate risk-and-reward opportunities that supply both encouragement to beginners and challenges for more advanced players. The slope and contour of the course’s landscape is its trademark with strategic mounding and over 60 contoured bunkers that emphasize the terrain’s natural undulations. The course features rolling fairways and massive greens. There are also sixteen large lakes that come into play throughout. The signature hole is the tremendous par-5, 17th, which is a scenic hole that features a lake, fairway bunkers, and a breaking green. Although the course is a challenge, there are six sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Favorite Course in the area
There are fancier courses however for the money this is the nicest one
Well kept course
Slow play took away from being great day and over course the 2-3 hole downpour delay.
screw story
Booked through golf now, they are a sad joke. Rain caused a large back up, requested a rain check at the course, they could not refund or give a rain check without speaking to golf now. When calling golf now, their automated message says will not process cancellations over the phone. Got screwed by paying in full and was unable to play. Golf now gets paid, course gets paid, no recourse. Paid for 3 golfers and could not get the course or golf now to help. SMH
Selective Covid-19 Policy
The course was in pretty good shape.
HOWEVER, if you are going to insist on 2 people per cart, have rakes in the bunkers, no pool noodles in the cups and employees not wearing masks or following any other Covid-19 protocol, then why, seriously why can you not have drinking water available on the course like you use to??? It was 94 degrees with a heat index of 105. Let’s not be penny wise and pound foolish. Your more likely to see a customer collapse and die from heat exhaustion than you are to be blamed for spreading Covid. Seems like a Morgan & Morgan commercial in the making. Other courses in the area have put water back, it’s time South Hampton did too.
Good course for the money
Pace of play was good in the afternoon and the cart person came around numerous times.
Mid summer round at SH
Course came back quick and healthy from aeration. Greens are in good shape and the rest of the course is always great! One of my three finalists to join next year.
Favorite course
South Hampton is my favorite course I have played in Jax/ St Augustine area. It is very open and allows for all skill levels to play there. But it does still have challenges which makes it fun. Staff is amazing

Some of the greens are in a little trouble. Slow roll.
Nice course, greens under work
Good layout, good pace, the greens currently being aerated. Didn’t like that the starter forced me out of my cart and made me to ride with a random person in their cart. Especially since that person was a smoker, and I was getting smoke blown in my face all day. Made for a not too fun experience.
Great Course
Course is in very good condition. Pace of play is great as well as customer service.
