Stoneybrook West Golf Course

About
Designed by Arthur Hills Stoneybrook West is a roaming blend of gutsy, penal holes, picturesque par threes over water, reachable par fives (527 and 522 yards from the tips, then 578 and 605), and several short, sporty par fours that cover all corners of the site. Dramatically rolling fairways salted with Hills' trademark grass-faced bunkers, subtle elevation changes and undulating greens were all artfully carved out of native orange groves, overlooking Black Lake. Water comes into play on 12 holes; you'll find all 18 are distinctly different, challenging and memorable.
For those visiting the Orlando area, particularly the Disney World complex, Stoneybrook West is just a matter of minutes up the road to the north. For those who frequent the Orlando golf circuit, Stoneybrook West is a course that must be seen to be measured against the other name courses.

Reviews
No Grass in the Fairway
The fairways had little to no grass. The greens were Good. The Tee Bod would of been Brown except for all if the sand with fertilizer in it.
Not as bad as the reviews
I was worried after reading the reviews paid $59 thought that was good for the time of the year had some bare spots in some fairways overall though very decent I would play here again anytime
Great Greens! Soggy Fairways
I enjoyed this course, lay out and the greens. Fairways seem to have died in the cold weather. Soggy and bare, several dirt patches.
5 groups on every hole
This was one the worst experiences I ever had at a course. Took over 3 hours to finish 9 holes with each hole having up to 5 groups on a single hole. It was so bad that my group stopped at 9 holes and the group behind us did the same. After mentioning to this experience in the pro shop they just brushed it off and said it’s the weekend. All this and the course not being in great shape as well left a poor taste to ever return!
General
Very hard fairways surfaces I guess the course name fits
OK for $40....but course conditions not great
The greens were good, fairways and rough were very sparse and thin.
They do not overseed so the course is pretty brown throughout the winter months.
No regard for regulars
Moved my tee-time after advertising it on golfnow. No explanation and worse no notice. They have received the last of hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars I've spent here.
Love the course. The only issue would be that seniors are stuck golfing 6,000 yrds from the forward tees. It would be so inviting if the were a forward tee between this and the ladies tee....let's say 5,400 yrds.
Loved your course!
Very friendly course
We enjoyed playing this course, challenging in places but was fun.
Paired up with a lovely guy from Iowa.
Great Golf
Loved the course and did a replay. Winter conditions on all courses right now are a bit rough. I would recommend this course for the golfer that likes a challenge.
Slow
Slow round and women in front took so much time. Need a ranger to keep the pace of play up.
Plays long
Nice golf course which tends to play longer than the stated yardage. Important to select the right tee box for your handicap. If they can keep the rates down, this is the place to go.
Play if you have a Hot Deal
Played Stoneybrook West with a Hot Deal & my Golfpass tee time credit. The online rate of $50-$60 is over priced Greens are good & roll well but the fairways are thin but guess with no over seeding this is expected. The course over charges for range balls. A bucket of 25 balls is $10. Play if you find a Hot Deal but not worth the online rate of $50 -$60.
Stoneybrook West
The course was in very mediocre conditions. The course does not water the fairways but the price was very good compared to other courses in Orlando. Place of play was great!
