About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

Manager was rude
We were golf now customers As soon as we walked into the pro shop the manager was immediately rude to us. He then asked if we’re the golf now customers He acted like a
jerk through out the check in process. Regulars at the club told us this was typical behavior. Everyone one else was very friendly.but we will never return
Short but challenging
Interesting layout with fairly easy back nine and much more challenging front nine. Course in good condition. Definitely recommend.
Beautiful Cousre
I am never disappointed when I play at the Monarchs. Every thing is so well maintained and the staff makes sure that play is at a steady flow. Absolutely enjoy my round and the entire course.
Hidden Jewel
We were pleasantly surprised by the extreme quality of this course.
If I lived in the area I would most certainly be a member. It reminded me of Arizona desert golf; fairways and greens were green and everything else was brown. The area was wet when we arrived probably giving a dry course perfect playing conditions. Greens played fast even when wet.
#14 has an amazing view.

Monarch Golf
I really enjoy playing here. The course is always in good shape from tee box to green. The community and the Course staff are so nice. Even stopped in the Crown & Shield for a lunch time pizza. Very enjoyable will be back again soon.
There’s something about the greens!
It’s a mystery to both me and my husband as to why the greens look so ordinary yet we can read them.
This was our second time playing here and we had the same issues both times. We are mystified and will keep going back until we figure it out! I’m smitten with the back nine especially hokes 14 and 15, I believe it is. Super high elevations and fun shots. 16 is a trip as well. Can’t wait to play again!

Royal Monarch
A drive from Disney, but accessible from the turnpike. Fun track with some blind shots and forced carries. Always enjoy playing it.
