About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

What a Gem!
I live in the area and this is one of my favs. They follow social distancing guidelines without trying to charge an extra $10-$20 tpp ride in a cart alone. It's shorter than most, but challenging and most of all - FUN! The staff in the Pro Shop is awesome as well. I go here several times a month.

PACE PLAY GREAT AFTER I PASSED 2 SLOWWW PLAYERS, COURSE GOOD SHAPE GREENS FINE LITTLE SPEED ON THEM, PRO SHOP AND CART BARN STAFF FANTASTIC.
Great Course
I have played the Monarchs a number of times and have never been disappointed with the staff or the course. The grounds are always well kept and play is rather fast for such a well played course. You have to give a try if you enjoy playing different courses.
Thank goodness for golf!
They are taking great care to be sure that we don't have to be in contact with anything we don't own. It makes for a relatively care-free morning.

Course was in great shape , greens were rolling true but slow. Great staff, lady in pro couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. Will be back and hope to play better
Lovely Round
As a new golfer, I value a scenic and relaxing experience over all else. I found this course to be just challenging enough. The fairways were beautiful and lush, and the greens were well kept with some challenging undulations.
I will definitely be back.

As usual the course was in great condition. The greens couldn’t be better.
The personnel are fantastic, and Craig always makes you feel at home.

Enjoyed our round except, of course, the heat.
But, it's Florida in the summer. To be expected. The course is beautifully kept up and has some challenging holes.
GREAT for the price
Booked a hot deal for Saturday afternoon. Not many people on the course. Nice open layout. A little water but not a ton. Greens were hard and fast. The course would be in tip top shape if they irrigated and killed a few weeds. It was still a great value for the money.
Great Condition
Monarch is always in great shape. I never get tired of this course. Challenging but fair.
