Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Golfer Reviews
Great golf course worth the drive
Course was in excellent shape. Fairways were nice and wide unlike many Florida golf courses. We booked through Teeoff.com based on very good reviews. We started on time and had a slight delay on each hole during the prime busy season. We played during twilight rates and were able to get seventeen holes in due to amount of players on the course. Greens were in excellent condition and not super fast. Great round at a great price. Keep up the great job Panther Run. We drove 45 minutes to get there and it was worth it!
Slow Play/ No Ranger
We were stuck behind a group of four golfers that took 10-15 minutes on each green. They had about 4-5 foursomes backed up and there was no ranger to be found. Also, the carts would cease working in unmarked areas on the course for no reason. We also did not enjoy the constant sales pitches on the screen monitor in the carts. Nice layout but fairways and tees are in somewhat poor condition.

Nice Layout

Pace of play
The only complaint was that the group in front of us had 2 holes open in front of us. The ranger made. Pass on hole 13 and never stopped. Outside of that we travel 45 minutes to play here and live the course. Great value compared to other courses.

Not such a secret anymore
When I moved down here a year ago the course they told me to “watch out for” was panther run. I asked what they meant and they said it was just some new tee boxes and re-seeding away from being one of sw Florida’s best secrets a high quality course without the Tiburon cost... (I wouldn’t quite compare the two but they aren’t out of the same convo) the greens were lightning, 14 had an almost impossible pin placement(my only complaint) ball did a u turn around the hole and back down the hill 4 feet. On a 6 footer barely missed it on the high side... unless you are going straight up you couldn’t make it my group got (6,7,8,8) and we are all single handicap golfers.
Other than that (groundskeeper didnt get any last night ;) ) the course will no longer be a secret it’s booked to the brim daily. And rightfully so. Wide fairways. Well manicured staff is pretty nice, I’d never been there before and they were very assumptive that I knew where to go. Also the “bucket” of range balls that comes with your tee time is 15 balls but free is free
My favorite part about golf courses are the greens I want to be able to put it on a line and it stay there and roll true 10/10 for these greens and they still held shots relatively well. I will play here more often especially in the winter where their rates are for some reason way more reasonable than other courses in far worse condition
